We are extremely disappointed and exhausted after dealing with this company…read more We hired Caledonian Homes, working with Amanda Froehlich Chow, to build a fireplace and four shelves. The project was supposed to start on December 4th, and as of January 9th, 35 days later, the work is still not completed. Throughout this entire period, we have had to constantly follow up just to find out if and when someone would show up. And every single time they came, what was supposed to be done was not completed. Worse than that, each visit resulted in new damage to our home. Service times have been extremely inconvenient and unprofessional - including weekends with no prior notice and even late at night (1 AM!!). They do not prepare or protect the work area at all: no floor protection, no furniture covering, and they even walked into our home wearing snowy, muddy boots with rocks, all over our brand-new floors. Lovely. You hire what you believe is a serious and responsible company to build a fireplace, and instead you end up with a dirty house, potential floor damage, multiple issues to fix - and possibly needing a prescription for anti-anxiety medication. At some point, I may go into detail about what these 35 days of frustration and stress have really been like. I resisted writing this review for a long time, but not doing so would be a disservice to Saskatoon and surrounding areas . I don't know how many people will read this, but if even one reasonable person reads it and decides to choose another company, that will already be enough. Do not hire this company under any circumstances.

Last but not least, the entire job was finished just two weeks over the projected deadline-which is amazing when you are dealing with renovation projects. We highly recommend Caledonian Homes!

Carl at Prestige organized the install and it was expertly done in short order at a price below our other quotes. This year, we had a small flood in the kitchen due to a plumbing problem and today, again Carl came to the rescue and one of his technicians expertly removed the damaged flooring today and replaced it for an extremely reasonable price. I have found Carl and Prestige to always be professional and efficient and very reasonable in their pricing. I have enjoyed working with Carl - I found that he cares about his clients and his staff. Highly recommended!
