Worst boat service I've ever experienced. Took my old 2 stroke in because it wasn't running well…read more Seemed to be starving for gas. Replaced gas line, bulb, and fittings. No change. Took it in and told them I thought it could be the fuel pump or filter. They told me my tanks were bad. Didn't make sense to me, but I figured they were the experts - threw away my two old tanks and bought a new one ($200 for a six gallon plastic tank). With the tank, and labor, I'm up to $300 (I won't count the gas line and fittings - that was my idea). Took it out and there was no difference. Took it back in, told them to spend enough time to make sure it worked. They looked at it, took it for a test drive, and told me it was fixed. They said it was a bad fitting (one of the brand new fittings I just bought from them!!!! I asked them to look again, and to check the fuel filter and fuel pump. Also asked them to install new spark plugs. Less than an hour later, they said it was done. Talked to the mechanic, and he said fuel filter and pump were fine. The only problem was the fitting. Cost was a bit over $500, so now I've given them $800. Took the boat out again, no improvement! I pulled the case off the motor, and it was obvious that none of the hoses had been removed (they were old and grimy - no way can you pull them off without disturbing some of the grime. I decided to check the filter and pump. I removed the spark plug wires, and was shocked to see they weren't even hand tight - just barely started. So, he didn't torque them, or maybe didn't even install new plugs (but I did pay for them to be installed). I went ahead and checked the pump and filter, and the pump was bad. I bought a pump online, installed it, and the motor runs great. I called and talked to a manager, told him they didn't check the fuel pump and filter as I asked, lied about checking it when I asked, and didn't properly install the plugs (or maybe didn't even install them. He said he'd talk to the mechanic, and offered to call me back. I said that'd be fine, but I thought they should refund my money I paid for all the work they didn't do. I've heard no response from him. Save time and money and avoid this place for any service work.

I wish I could give ZERO stars.. This may be a known…read morecompany, but this specific location in Detroit Lakes, and the employees that work here, did horrible work and have horrible customer service. We just bought a cabin on a lake last year, and then purchased a pontoon and dock this past spring for summer. My MIL found this company and said "the guys were really nice, we can store the boat and lift here, it's gonna be great". COOL. Well, after they came to put the lift in the first time, we just seemed to have problem after problem with them and the lift. First time we called to get something fixed or adjusted, they didn't do anything and still charged us. Second time they came out to fix their mistake, they dropped the motor in the lake, and STILL charged us. Third time they came out to fix their mistake, they dropped fishing poles in the water and didn't bother to fish them out, to which they sat in the water for probably a week. Forth time they came to fix their mistakes, they broke a fishing rod and managed to bend our pontoon canopy bars and claimed "we didn't do any of that". When everything was brought up, the guy said "my guys have worked 10 some years and they're good and loyal to their job, they wouldn't have done that." And NOTHING was done to fix any of the problems. My MIL and grandfather in law spent over $6k for stuff they broke and couldn't fix and REFUSED to give us any compensation for the legit hell they caused us and how much money they just lost for literally NOTHING. We all have been fumed with anger, especially with them doing nothing to make the problem better. This place is 1000% money hungry, and no ones takes pride in their work, making or keeping customers happy. Rather get the business, do a shit job and take your money and run. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.
