Dr. Floyd is quite literally the best. She is one of the kindest people. I first started coming to…read moreher with chronic hip pain that nothing could fix. I scheduled a new patient consult and in addition to my hip pain, Dr. Floyd took the time to understand the other factors influencing my body, such as stress, hormones, daily habits, etc. I felt instant relief the first time she cupped me and have been a cupping regular ever since. Now I see Dr. Floyd for hormone regulation. I was having some trouble with my cycles and started seeing her monthly, and it works like magic every time. Herbs- I have tried Calm, Immune, Sleep, and Flow. Immune was amazing especially around the time I got the Covid vaccine, I had little to no symptoms. I love Calm because it actually works wonders for my anxiety, and I take Flow when I'm on my cycle. The combination of the two has helped keep me sane. I recommend Dr. Floyd and her herb line to everyone. Accupuncture is a really great way to get in touch and honor your body's needs, regardless of what you're coming in for, whether it's injury related, hormone related, or if you're just looking for a new form of self care. TLDR- just go see Dr. Floyd, your mind and body will thank you.

I got a 1 on 1 acupuncture and cupping session with her and also had her do a family acu session for my family and for our tribe on the retreat! She was able to release  a LOT for me and I left every session feeling lighter and slept like a baby!! Her space for sessions is also the cutest. I can't wait to be back in Moab next year for more!

I've seen over (22) acupuncturists in a variety of US states. I study Traditional Chinese Medicine…read more(TCM) as well. Here are my thoughts: Front desk personnel - polite and efficient. Ambiance - of the waiting room and treatment room - relaxing. Parking - easy and free. Price - $150 is on the higher end given Grand Junction is not a big city (I've paid $155 in Orlando, FL and $159 in Miami for an initial session for example). The follow-up sessions are reasonably priced at half the price. Joseph was my acupuncturist. Polite and well traveled fellow. Excellent listener. Session - meh. Average. Nothing out of the ordinary. The initial consultation was more led by me than him. I was surprised he did not take my pulse until I was on the bed. He did not look at my tongue. The Yellow Emperor's Classic is a foundation TCM text. Tongue and pulse diagnoses are standard practice from what I've read and experienced. Red flag. Another big red flag is that this man practices homeopathy. Highly controversial. Many acupuncturists I've seen have warned me against it. Joseph even claimed that one session is like (10) years of therapy (which I highly doubt - it's not shamanic soul retrieval or inner child/shadow work). Joseph has a diversified healing background. I support that. However, I probably should've walked out after he told me this. As an Asian-American, I do find it unprofessional to ask about ethnicity on the first visit. I give him credit that he asked where I was from then asked about my parents. Most folks ask me, "Where I'm really from or originally from?" and keep pushing. That is called "Othering" and is a intentional or unintentional microaggression to nonwhite Americans. It is ultimately an alienating question. What caught me off guard is that he said I had an exotic look about me. I've never been told that. At first, I thought that was a compliment. Then I looked online with a bunch of Asian and Latina women claiming it is offensive/Othering. "What am I a piece of fruit?" "I am an American too." Again I didn't feel malice from him that I've felt in other parts of the country. Upon reflection, I think it was unintentional. It has to be mentioned as the USA is getting more diverse. The actual session was mediocre: I only received 30 minutes sleeping on the table where I am use to 45 minutes . Most acupuncturists do an hour 15 minutes from my experience. The bar I use for acupuncturists that can put me to sleep on the bed with their needles on the first session. I dozed in and out. I felt disoriented afterwards. That could be a good sign (detoxification). The real bar for me is if I sleep better the night of. I did not notice anything significant. This is important because Joseph himself told me about a breakthrough session where he slept for (30) hours after the session. I did appreciate the Chinese music. Surprisingly, not all acupuncturists use music. Checkout process - simple pay with a card and go. FYI there are several other acupuncturists at this site. I have only worked with Joseph.

We decided to come since this was the only urgent care open and they were going to close in an hour after we had dinner. I'm from L.A so the urgent cares near us usually stop serving or taking in patients before a certain time (in my area), so was expecting the same. Fortunately the staff did not turn us away and made sure my kid was going to get checked out. The receptionist was very helpful, she made sure we were ok for waiting well past the closing hour. We were fine! I also noticed a family come in 20-30 mins after closing and was not English speaking. Instead of the receptionist telling them that Urgent Care was closed, she made an effort to make a call for an interpreter to translate what they needed. In the end they were told that Urgent Care was closed but the ER was open but she really did her best to ensure the patients know this so they can make the best decision on what to do next. The lobby was clean and organized, did not feel dirty at all and seemed new. My kids even got crayons and some paper to color on! It made time go by fast. Also, I came with my wife and two kids, my wife and my kid went to the exam room while I waited in the lobby with my youngest. The feedback I got was the nursing staff and physician were really nice and made us feel like we were in good hands! Although I hope not to ever come back to the urgent care when traveling. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs to see the doctor when visiting, or even if you live in Moab!

I have had back issues going on 22 years now due to an accident in the military. Before, I had been going to Chiropractic care for as much as I could afford to in order to get some relief. I was very cautious to do acupuncture because I have had dry needling and what a Joke that was!! I went from trying to go to a Chiropractor once a week, to actually getting relief from Ryan and his amazing acupuncture once every 2 weeks. I very rarely have to go to chiropractic care now. Scheduling has never been an issue for me. Deborah does a great job. I have missed appointments before, and they worked with me to get rescheduled quickly. I just read the previous review by a Carol W., and I will say, that seems petty that you would give a review over a scheduling issue over a confusion in names.... I'm positive Debrorah and Ryan would have gotten you in ASAP if asked. quite being a "Karen" and give a review of Ryans acupuncture and healing capabilities.
