I was married a year ago. I'm an older first time bride and work full time. My husband and I decided to get married and only gave ourselves 6 months to plan and execute. There was never any question of where the wedding and reception would occur, my parent's garden for the wedding and the reception under a tent in their field. When we started to look for caterers, my mother suggested Two Chefs are Better Than One. She had used them for a small dinner party of 25 and loved them. Said the food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. We decided not to try to track down any other caterers. Two Chefs offers a wide range of pricing and as I had done my homework, I knew their prices were very reasonable. The bonus, which I didn't know at the time, is that they also act as a wedding coordinator. Jamie was not only our contact for their catering, but she was also our wedding coordinator. This was a huge bonus for me. Jamie was fantastic and helped eased much of my anxiety over putting on such a big affair. Jamie's quiet assurance went a long way in soothing my pre wedding jitters. She and I discussed what we wanted and she took care of everything. They offered a food tasting but we declined as we didn't have time. Besides my mother's review of their food, we had talked to some other people, who all raved about the food. Jamie took care of every detail and brought up ideas, including last minute details I hadn't thought of or things that should be done. The tent , the furniture, the place settings; every detail was covered. When we found out they could also arrange for the tent and furniture I was thrilled. One less person to contact. The set up and take down was like magic! The tent went up a few days before hand, and the day of the wedding , the crew and Jamie from Two Chefs came to set up all the furniture and set tables etc. And the day after everything was picked up and gone. One would never know a wedding had occurred there. The night before the wedding it poured and was still grey the morning of. But the sun came out as we said our vows. When I walked into the tent for the first time I couldn't believe the transformation that had occurred due to the hard work of the Two Chefs crew. It was gorgeous!! The tables were perfect with the white linens an elegant backdrop for the colorful arrangements. The appetizers were scrumptious and the cheese platter people raved about. The buffet was beautiful. We went with the original menu suggested by Jamie and I'm glad we did. Friends, who had been at the wedding, were raving weeks afterwards about how great the food was. In addition to the set up and serving the food, Jamie was right there to help me with the informal scheduling of things; first dance, speeches etc. She kept track of the time so I didn't have to and coordinated with the band. It was all effortless on my part and so smoothly done on the part of Jamie and the Two Chef's crew. They were incredibly helpful and cheerful. I cannot say enough good things about Two Chefs are Better Than One. I am struggling on where to even begin on how they helped me through each detail and step. They are not only a caterer but also event planners! Two Chefs Are Better Than One are an efficient, organized and detail oriented Caterer. When I called Two Chefs they E-Mailed me a menu that made my mouth water reading it. This was fine dining catering, not your typical event or wedding food at all. Not only is their menu extensive but there was something for everyone's budget. We got married at an Art Museum/Institute and wanted our food to be as artful as the art surrounding us and they did not fail to deliver. Our tasting was so exciting with the presentation and amazing taste. They are also very generous and let us take home the leftovers and even prepared cookies to go for us for dessert. Detail oriented and thoughtful! They were very willing to work with us to accommodate for things to be more/less sweet/salty and get the flavors we were looking for. They also are very accommodating for food allergies and special meals (gluten free, kosher, etc.). Two Chefs works with Peterson Party Center rental company which is amazing as well. They have a great relationship and work together to please their clients. I must have gone back at least 3 times with Jamie to pick out all of my china, linens, etc. She was so patient and just wanted my wedding to be an amazing time to remember. Jamie went above and beyond to find exactly what I wanted when I could not at the rental company. Jamie knew my vision of the event and went above and beyond to help me make that vision come true. I am definitely a perfectionist and they embraced it and worked with me instead of fighting me and putting me into a box. They really customize each of their events and offer all they can to make it perfect!! Jamie took time the day before the event to meet with me at the venue to make sure everything looked as I wanted it. They never stop working for you, and I really believe they truly care about you like family. Growing up Italian, food is one of my number one priorities. I wanted my guests to walk away amazed and I know they were. Don't settle for those typical caterers who put a creamy white sauce on every dish. When you get married food is at the top of the list for what makes the perfect event. That delicious, perfect, memorable food is exactly what Two Chefs brought to our wedding. Two Chefs came highly recommended to us and we couldn't be more thankful. Two Chefs was the first vendor we booked for our wedding and they helped us build the base of how we wanted our entire wedding to look and feel. We worked directly with Tara to plan our wedding. I really loved working with her! She had great ideas and embraced ours. I really loved all the details she put into our wedding food to make it "on theme." Our wedding was at a vineyard. We have big Italian families and I just wanted it to feel like a big family dinner. Ideas like a bruschetta bar, gelato for dessert and other Italian dishes really brought this idea to life. And even with all the restrictions around COVID, she helped us figure out ways to keep our original ideas and keep our guests safe. I really appreciate Tara guiding us through the safety process. Our guests are still RAVING about the food. I got some many calls the next day saying specifically how delicious the food was. Family members are trying to figure out how and when we can have another event so that Two Chefs can cater again! The short rib, the butternut squash ravioli, the chicken piccata, the gelato .... Everything was delicious and perfect! I am getting hungry right now just writing this now! I also found Two Chefs easy to work with, not just because of the collaborative working style, but also because of their extensive experience working at our venue, Fulchino Vineyard. Because they have worked at the venue many times, they knew the ins and outs of the venue and have a trusting relationship with the owners. They know the setup, the best place to set up the tables and how to work well with the owners. This allowed me to sit back and not worry about the flow, set up/presentation of the food. Tara was also that amazingly thoughtful person that came over and asked she could bring me and my husband some food while we were taking our pictures. Love that about her. Two chefs really are better than one! I had many goals for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah reception. I knew she would be stellar at leading the service, and she did not disappoint. She worked so hard and studied for so long, that I felt she deserved a great party. And, of course, any great party has fabulous food. Throughout my planning for this day, Jamie was at my side, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the party we produced. I was told throughout the process that I was doing some things a bit differently than other B'nai Mitzvah that Jamie has been a part of. To be sure... my daughter is certainly not like others. She deserved something different! My husband and I chose 2 Chefs because we were guests at previous events that 2 Chefs had catered, so we got a few "free" tastings before we even knew what a tasting was. When it was our turn for a proper tasting, we were very impressed. Our private tasting was amazing and Jamie helped refine our menu so that we knew we would have a perfect day. And a perfect day was had by all! We chose to have a buffet style luncheon, and throughout the day, as the food was out, it never dried out and always tasted fresh. We're still getting compliments on the food three weeks after our event! Of course I have already recommended 2 Chefs to anyone that will listen... hopefully people will read this and listen too! I also wanted to take this moment to commend Jamie as my Event Manager. I had a very specific agenda and wanted things a very particular way. I'll be honest... Thanks to Two Chefs, our wedding was without a doubt the best day of my life and an unforgettable day for our extended family and friends! We had a family home wedding so we had to figure out all of the logistics from scratch. Two Chefs not only came through with outstanding food but they helped us find an amazing rental and tent company to work with. My parents had a lot on their plate since my husband and I did not live close-by. Thanks to Jamie from Two Chefs all of their questions were answered and everyone she recommended was on point and totally in line with our needs. I could not have asked for a better experience and it was amazing watching my parents have as much fun as I did at our wedding instead of stressing about the little details. Jamie did all of the organizing for us so we could just relax and dance the night away! The food? I still get compliments on it to this day. Definitely go and do a tasting with them! When you meet the actual Two Chefs in person you won't want to go anywhere else. They are so funny and have the sweetest personalities. They have so much pride in their food and they can tweak anything you want. I do have to say, nothing needed tweaking but they were able to add an amazing eggplant rollatini for our veggie friends that was unbelievable! They even made a special kids meal too! We first were exposed to 2 Chefs at a Bar Mitzvah of some close family friends. We were very impressed with the variety of food, the quality of options and the presentation to boot. We inquired as to who the family used for the catering and they introduced us to Jamie. It was the start of a great relationship as we had (at that point) 3 of our own Bar Mitzvahs to plan. It was so nice to know that during the planning stages as well as during the actual day, that there would be no concerns and we were able to enjoy the day. The process started with some food suggestions sent to us, as well as a menu with further choices. From this we selected our choices using our budget as a guide. This is starts the fun part of the tasting! Our boys have come to love this stage, as you go to the 2 Chefs kitchen and get to sample your menu. At this point we were introduced to the actual chefs, who will sit with you and listen to your thoughts while your sample your food choices. The best part is that there is always plenty and you get to bring home extras! We have had the catering done at our temple as well as at our home (125-150 people at each), and all of the experiences have been great. Jamie has been invaluable in coordinating any outside rentals, you just have to let her know what you want! We highly recommend 2 Chefs to anyone looking for a great catering experience! read more

Two Chefs is one of the three preferred caterers for our venue and they exceeded all of our expectations. Right from our first email to Two Chefs we felt like they were in the business of helping us put together a tasty menu that made us smile within a budget we could afford. Our main contact was Jamie and she always provided prompt, friendly and helpful responses. Simply put, she is awesome! She worked with us from start to near finish by helping us to put together a delicious menu for our cocktail hour appetizers, New England inspired buffet dinner, brownie and cannoli dessert display and a last minute addition of a late night snack hot dog bar. The hot dogs started off as a joke, but she made it a reality for us! Her day-of staff helped to set up the tables, linens and menu cards at each place setting. They did a beautiful job! Even with a last minute rain change, they quickly adjusted the set up and turnover. Two Chefs was so great to work with and I would wholeheartedly recommend them for their service and quality of food. We used Two Chefs this past weekend for our casual camping wedding event. Two Chefs was fantastic to work with throughout and Jamie made the whole process very smooth. Jamie always responded promptly to emails and always seemed to be one step ahead with every detail. Alan, Craig, Joanne and Anne were the onsite staff the day of our event. They could not have been easier to work with, more helpful, or friendly. Alan and Craig made me feel so calm and that they had every detail under control. I even managed to break a dish while scurrying through the kitchen and Joanne and Anne made it no big deal! Although we only spent a short time together, they felt like family, even reminding us busy brides to eat! The food was delicious and even our meat eating friends raved. People loved the appetizers so much they were already full by dinner time. Luckily they had enough room to devour the delicious food that the whole team worked so hard on. I cannot say enough good things about Two Chefs. We used them for our wedding. They had us do a food tasting and we liked everything we chose from their menu for our wedding food. When we suggested little tweaks in how well done etc. we wanted the food, they followed through. They always promptly responded to my calls and we're very friendly. I have been to a share of weddings and I knew I was not going to be that wedding that had the horrible food that no one liked or was talking bad about-- Two Chefs made that happen!! I asked my guests as I went around and asked them how they liked the food, some of them had specific favorites but most of them made the comment "Who is the caterer?! It's so good" or "I've never had such tasty food at a wedding before". We have leftovers for days too! This past summer I got married. Our wedding was in the backyard of our home. We called numerous caterers. After my lengthy discussion with Jamie I was sold. I explained what I was looking for and she gave me several ideas. They took care of everything (food, tent, tables, chairs, dinnerware, glasses etc.). Jamie called and scheduled a time for us to sample the food. She also came to our house to take pictures of how they were going to set up. They arrived early the day of our wedding. The staff was extremely polite. The food was incredible. Everyone at our wedding wanted to know who they were. They cleaned up after the wedding and came back the next day to clean up the remainder of the items. I highly recommend them and we will use them for future events. We used Two Chefs for our backyard wedding this past September. As my husband was working on his PhD and I had a very stressful job, we were very overworked and did not have the time to be best party planners - but that was just fine because Jamie and Two Chefs were fantastic! Not only did they prepare great food within our budget, they worked hard to please all parts of our multicultural family, making three food stations themed with Italian food, Hungarian food, and Jewish food. But most importantly, they made the day run as smoothly as possible, starting from when we first contacted them to the big day itself. Kathy aka "Tha Boss" is a phenomenal worker, with superior attention to detail and a genial demeanor to boot. I encountered Kathy while she was catering a prestigious event for my school. She was extremely polite, not to mention that the food was EXCELLENT. Not only did we have an assortment of chocolate strawberries, various treats covered in chocolate on sticks (akin to lollipops), there were also lemon squares, cookies of all different varieties imaginable and the decadent raspberry tarts. OH how I loved the Tarts!! The other staff came dressed to impress with a sleek looking all black outfit and as a fun accessory a brightly colored tie. We ordered a Mother's Day meal from Two Chefs this year and it was fantastic. Everything came well labeled and they even included specific instructions for preparing and cooking it. More importantly, the food, as always, was fresh and delicious. Our order included lavendar caesar salad with corn bread croutons, baked haddock, Brussels sprouts, and fingerling potatoes. Dessert was an amazing pound cake with berry compote and real whipped cream. So good. Alison was a delight to work with providing a wonderful experience all around. Thank you! While I can't comment on the quality of food, I can comment on the communication experience. My fiancé and I had messaged Two Chefs looking for a quote for our upcoming wedding reception. Jamie got back to us with an update very quickly and she was super personal during the process. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change venues and we were not able to go with Two Chefs for our catering in the end (the new venue only allowed in-house only). Their prices were reasonable and they offered a lot of different options for you to customize your event. If we have another event in the area in the future, we plan to look up Two Chefs again. I hired Two Chefs about 15 years ago to handle some of our company functions and ALL of our VIP meetings as well as monthly staff meetings. They always helped us decide on various menus and dietary needs. They were always on time and the presentation was pleasing to the eye and functionally easy to work around. They handled our holiday breakfast for 200 people and special sporting event celebrations at our building each year. The best part is, they came back later and cleaned it all up. Two chefs catered a post-wedding party on Sunday September 4, 2016 at our home for our son and his new bride for 130 guests. The food and presentation was great . We served grilled steak, grilled chicken and whole lobster. The staff was fantastic! Steve, Joanne ,Joe and all the rest of the crew were so warm and professional to each and every guest. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a caterer.
