You basically get a card and load it with points. The best bang for your buck is loading $50 on it. Since I wasn't sure whether I'd like the games and such, I loaded $20. I swiped my credit card and my points card dropped out of the machine for collection. The game that caught my attention was Space Invaders Frenzy. It was on a large screen. Two players can play. The shooting gun was massive, but extremely comfortable to use. I played this game and loved it. It became my favourite one. You can hold down the trigger to shoot without pressing it like crazy as if you wanted to break it. I managed to get on the top ten high scores. Yay! There is a photo machine at this arcade, but the camera wasn't working. Bummer. I tried one of the claw games. I never do well playing them. All prizes are round in shape, so it's difficult to get the claw to grip anything. There is a hand sanitizer stand, but it didn't have any liquid. It was a downer. Luckily, I had some in my purse and used it before I found a washroom to properly wash my hands. I had a fun time. I have plenty of points on my card (it's 4 points for a game of Space Invaders), so I'll be back for more fun to satisfy my 80's arcade game fix. (392)

Between the classic pinball machines, well-kept pool tables, and the laid-back vibe, it's the perfect spot for a date night. The owner is genuinely one of the kindest people you'll meet and is clearly passionate about every machine and every detail of the experience. You can tell he really cares about keeping the place running smoothly and making sure everyone has a good experience. It's rare to find a spot that's this chill, authentic, and just plain fun. Whether you're into billiards, pinball, or just hanging out somewhere low-key with good energy, this place absolutely delivers. Best part of the night is the adorable shop puppy "Snowflake" who will challenge you to a game of tug-of-war. They have a prize upgrade system as well as if you win a prize out of a claw machine and it's not the color you want they let you swap it with a different one (has to be from the same machine). They are also kind enough to "reset" the plushies to help make it easier to win them. It for sure can get addicting quick trying to win particular plushies. They do charge a small fee for using cards vs cash, so I suggest bringing a bit of cash. You also get more tokens the more you buy. Each machine takes 1 token to play. I felt like the prizes were a lot better quality than what I thought they would be. You can trade 15 of the smaller plushies for a big one (or different prizes in general). Overall a fun place. I sadly don't trade in much anymore since they were oversaturated with PS4's when I was selling mine but my past experiences have been great and they were always my go to for new games I was on the hunt for - I love supporting them! Over the years they have recommended books that I've fallen in love with and always have fun board games to choose from if I'm looking for fun gifts. This was our first time living in the big city and luckily was able to find an apartment pretty quickly and that so happened to be right across the street from your store Level Up Games. As avid gamers and MTG players this was a great resource to have and a safe space to meet new people, make friends, and establish ourselves in the community. After my partner had been going on Wednesdays to MTG night for a while he learned that you all provided free DND sessions to anyone that wanted to break into table top games. This was something out of my comfort zone and I had been going through a emotional transition from this being my first big move away from home and everyone I used to know to moving here and kind of having to start over essentially. It was hard for me. My partner found this outlet for us to explore together and it started out great we were going regularly every week, we were learning something new, and having fun doing it. Eventually we were going enough that we had made a couple of really good friends there. Unfortunately there ended up being a situation where my partner had to endure a few instances of racism directed towards him by one of the DMs of the Mead Halls Mightiest at Level Up Games. It started off with small things like, speaking up with corrections only when my partner had any input, making back handed insults about his intelligence, also putting handicaps on character creation where other people did not. This lead into more intense behavior such as avoiding DMing sessions in which he would be at the table, isolating him and his friend group to were they had to play sessions only with themselves, and defaming his personal character to the other DMs to cause a rift of distrust in order to get rid of him. This had been going on for a while and after one session were there where some content where we were trying to get some elementals vacation time to visit their families because this Spa owner had them sign a contract were they had to work for her forever. Anyways, this lead to a huge argument where my partner called them out and asked what their problem was. They went on to explain that it was because he makes other people playing the game uncomfortable. They had went on the explain that in one instance he had copied their charter creations in order to make the same kind of character. He also was accused of in acting what seemed like sexual assault on an NPC. Their words Ver Batam. This of course is in accusation of the only African American that comes to these things and this was the only DM that ever had a problem with my partner. This lead with the head of the Mead Hall backing all their lies and instead of promoting a safe space of equally and inclusion they kicked us out and tried banning us from the store in which they had no power. In conclusion we thought leaving Tennessee would mean less racism and more acceptance, but turns out racism is everywhere and you have to keep your eyes out and not turn a blind eye. It's a shame you don't have leaders of the Mead Hall that can be bold enough to hold down the principals of your establishment. Dungeons and Dragons is a game that accepts everyone no matter where you come from, what you look like, what race or sexuality you are. It's a shame that it wasn't reflected at your establishment due to a small few. Thank you.

I try to buy local whenever possible but my curiosity got the best of me when I got home so I compared online prices. The game was $15 cheaper than Amazon or Ebay. I have read other reviews where people complain that the owner is rude. I didn't find him to be, he was very matter of fact and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain how I can properly clean my NES game cartridges. I had been doing it wrong for years. Who knew?

Due to COVID they only do reservations. Which for me was amazing, I wanted to surprise my husband with a fun birthday outing. What is better than vintage arcade games and having the place to ourselves. We arrived and they greeted us and told us to have at it. We played games non stop for our 90 minutes (you can pick the length of time). Some were out of service, which is bound to happen with games that old. My husband was surprised and loved this little place all to ourselves. Definitely will go back.
