By far the worst experience I've ever had with a business owner…read more Before I continue, the teachers at The Little Gym in Saratoga are nothing but sweet and friendly, none of this is a knock on them at all. I met the owner 2-3 times when in for classes and I felt she presented as cold, unfriendly and rude. I never saw her smile, she never said hi to my son, and I never witnessed her showing interested in the children or making anyone feel welcome. When I politely emailed a question about a double charge on my account recently she seemed confused by the dates I gave her, so rather than call to clarify she "reviewed the tapes" (I can only take this to mean surveillance footage) to find out when I was there and when I wasn't. Then emailed me and seemingly hinted I was lying about the date I attended. (Something I would never think of doing. I'm not that kind of person!) Turns out her staff had forgotten to charge for at least one class we attended (my card was on file there) and so they double charged the next time I was there. A simple explanation would have been sufficient. No matter how many times I requested, she wouldn't call me and iron out the confusion. As of this incident, there was no way to reach the owner by phone, only email. And I should add I was never verbally abusive or inappropriate in any of my emails to her. Because I left a bad review she angrily emailed me, told me I'm "banned from the premises", and that she is "reporting the info to the authorities" and insinuated she was arranging to sue me. She also told me she kept my email where I was supposedly untruthful about the days I attended, when in fact if she had simply read back to my first email where I clearly stated I had been there on the day the footage showed, this would've cleared everything up. I still can't believe a business owner would watch footage of a customer and email them telling them so. I took my original review down as a goodwill gesture after she said she "may" speak with me if I did. Then the icing on the cake: the owner Facebook messaged me claiming I was somehow responsible for an entirety different negative review on Google left by another individual. I have absolutely NO idea who that person is. I am usually the one leaving positive reviews when I have a good experience with a business, and it takes a lot for me to leave a bad one. So this is simply sad all the way around. Especially for my two year old son who just this morning was singing a song he learned in class, and doesn't understand why he can't see his teacher or go have fun there anymore. So needless, as not once was I (or would I ever be ) disrespectful, rude in class or in any other way disruptive to this business . . . Or to any business, ever. We enjoyed the classes, met a number other of other parents and grandparents there and greatly enjoyed our time. Do NOT recommend!!!

I spoke to her about it and she was very snotty and defensive. She said it was up to me to do things with my granddaughter. Not her. I understand that. I was looking for some guidance and suggestions to keep her occupied for an hour. All Kelsey did was sing a song at the beginning and at the end of the class. And use a bubble machine during class. After I spoke with her she was more engaged & showed me some different things that I could do with my granddaughter. She continued to be rude & dismissive after that. I received an email asking me to take a survey. I only gave them a 3 as to how likely I would be to recommend the gym. I then received an email from the owner, Katheyn Pellett, and she told me that I was no longer welcome there. One would think she would have reached out to me for an explanation of my low score. Instead she just listened to her employee who said I was "rude". So not the story. Don't waste your money sending your little one there!

The space itself is big, with several areas for different classes. All of the equipment is frequently inspected and maintained- when any tape gets worn on an apparatus they remove and repair it. The intro to aerials class gave me confidence on the trapeze, fabric, and Lyra. I've moved onto to level 2, and there are so many other advanced classes for me to chose from! Performances are always optional and there are classes for all ages.

If you see a one star or low review here around this time, let the buyer beware…read more Here are the things you should know from someone who has actually been to the studio: 1) SHOW is an amazing, respectful, and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds. They have extensive policy written up on inclusivity, diversity, and safety - all of which is available for anyone to read on their website at www.showcircusstudio.com. 2) Their teachers care about their students and are highly trained circus professionals. Many of them went through the professional track program at the New England Center for Circus Arts, are members of the professional circus organizations, and are active in furthering their circus education and training both on their own and through the studio. They go through monthly staff training as well as additional off-site trainings to constantly improve their skills and give a high quality, recreational circus education for students of all ages, body types, fitness levels, skill levels, races, economic backgrounds, etc. 3) Show is a recreational space. They don't expect you to do back flips when you walk in the door or even after your finish classes. You progress through a carefully planned out and studio standardized curriculum and are going at your own pace. This means you aren't forced through a leveling up system, but take a class until you're ready to move on to more advanced skills. In this way, your only competition is with yourself. 4) If other reviewers think the space is dirty and poorly organized, I recommend going in and checking out the space for yourself. Chris, the co-owner, does an amazing job of organizing the space along with Henry, the other co-owner. The lobby is GORGEOUS and the studio itself is perfect for recreational circus skills - vibrant colors, clean, and rigged to perfection for easy changes between classes. I'm very impressed. I highly recommend SHOW to anyone, especially to the LGBTQIA community - as SHOW and its staff are strong allies to the community. I wouldn't feel safe in a gym situation and I've never felt unsafe at SHOW. I cannot speak highly enough of them and my experiences with the studio.

I'm really disappointed with how my daughter's party went at Pioneer Athletics. We had an amazing…read moreexperience in 2020 at her first birthday party here, so I was excited to come back. Also my daughters had attended classes for 4 years there. But this time, it was a whole different vibe. Chris was super helpful when we were setting up , but once the party started, Taylor took over and it was a complete flip . She was talking to the kids in a tone that was scolding. It felt like they were in trouble or something. It wasn't just the kids, she was short and rude with the grown ups too. I get it, safety first, but it's a birthday party, not boot camp! When we were trying to celebrate and have some fun, Taylor was stressing about everything and we were being treated like children. Even me, the person who paid for party was not allowed to touch pizza and cake without her basically blocking my access as if it was her very own personal pizza and cake. The worst part was when my daughter was sitting on her cousin's lap for the Happy Birthday song and Taylor scolded and embarrassed telling her to get off and sit down. My daughter looks so sad in all of her photos and videos in some pictures she's even visibly crying. What really bothered me was that we were paying customers, just like the VIP party that was coming next. We had paid for our time slot, and we were still within it. But despite that, the staff kept mentioning the upcoming VIP party, making us feel like we were being pushed out the door. Our business wasn't valued! I hope Pioneer Athletics takes this feedback seriously and works on making their parties more fun and less stressful. I want my daughter to have amazing memories of her birthday, not memories of a host yelling at her. This experience was a letdown, and it's unfortunate because there were 14 other kids at her party with their parents and they could have considered having their parties there or enrolling their children. However, they shared the same concerns as I did. Here are my suggestions: I think Pioneer Athletics should consider revising their party format to allow for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. With the current timeframe for obstacles , everything felt rushed the kids didn't get much time in the ninja portion and that was the whole point. The kids were just getting into the activities when it was time to wrap up, and it's clear the host were stressed about getting everything done on timez. If they could offer longer party slots or more flexible scheduling, I think it would make a huge difference. That way, everyone could enjoy the celebration without feeling like they're being herded through activities and out the door. It's definitely something to think about if they want to create a more positive and memorable experience for their party guests.

The party room has four tables so plenty of room to sit. The women working there helped from set-up to clean up. The parents have a good view of the kids playing while the girls who work there lead the kids around to activities and have a blast with them! It allows the parents to relax a bit while the kids have fun. Then the party moves to the party room for food/cake/presents. We opted to choose the party package without food or drinks included and brought our own instead but they have great party packages with food included as well! All the kids had fun, all the parents were impressed and I got asked quite a bit by the other parents about how they could throw a party here as well!!! Highly recommended :)
