The parking lot is spacious and convenient with a drive-thru option. On this day the rain paused just long enough for us to step inside! We were warmly welcomed by a very friendly face! The decor was super colorful and bright, very cute!!! Huge display of donuts!!! Huge! Exceptional customer service! We shared the excitement of seeing them featured on TV, which clearly delighted her! Now, let's talk about the heavenly donuts! We chose the irresistible Apple fritters, and oh, they stole the show - hands down the most scrumptious Apple fritter I've ever tasted, and with so many mouthwatering options to explore! What a treat! The coffee corner, ice cream, shakes, and diverse drinks menu are just the icing on the cake. And did I mention the tamales on the menu? Can't wait to try those next time! People flock over here for their donuts but trust me they have even better Tamales. While their donuts are bomb, i often get their tamales and devour them for breakfast. I decided to visit this gem after it was featured on King-5 Evening Magazine. The food was excellent. I had the Lucas sandwich and an apple fritter. My sandwich had egg cheese and bacon. The fritter was large and fresh. They offer a large selection of a variety of fritters. They all looked very good. The service was friendly and quick. This is a locally owned business and it is so much better than those well known chain donut shops. They offer a large selection of drinks as well as ice cream and authentic Mexican tamales. The ambience was quiet and they have an exterior patio for customers who want to eat outside. All in all, this place is a hit and I will definitely be visiting them again. read more

Love, love LOVE Twister Donuts. They have a amazing selection of great donuts. Cake donuts, maple bars, creme donuts, you name it. I am a huge fan of their fruit fritters, which are insanely good. If you're having a bad day, a peach fritter can turn that frown upside down. Trust me. I also go to Twister for their tamales (chicken and pork). I buy them cold, by the dozen, to have in the fridge for quick meals during the week. I've seen some people complain about the prices. I don't mind paying a little extra for top quality donuts, especially ones that are freshly made and are delivered with a smile. Speaking of that smile, the owners are super nice and really friendly. I guess I'm there a lot because they seem to recognize me in the drive through. They always ask how I am, and somehow, there is always something a little extra in my order. This is my family's favorite donut place in town (we remember when they opened!). They are consistently high quality and they have lots of variety in flavors. Prices are reasonable too. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I am visiting a friend in Olympia and decided to try this place. Tony the owner and his family were sweet and welcoming and even threw in a free donut. Then the Owner Tony came out and handed me a free flauta. I am sitting here eating my chocolate maple bar and drinking a chocolate milk. I cannot believe how delicious everything is plus the selection of flavors. It is a culinary delight with many interesting flavors to keep you need to keep coming back. OK so I used to make donuts at a small shop in north Whatcom County. I love a fresh, handmade donut. There is no comparison between fresh dough made daily and frozen dough flown in from California - none!. The high quality of making pastry in small batches versus the lack of quality when you make dough in massive batches for large businesses is clear. Twister Donuts clearly makes fresh dough daily. Everything smells amazing when you walk inside. You can taste the yeast and proofing process in the donuts - especially the maple bars! They were out of bacon maple bars (sad face) but they had my other favorites: buttermilk bars (don't sleep on those), old fashioned, maple bar and chocolate old fashioned. I love a cake donut too. They also have fancier donuts with candy on top and fillings if that is your fare. There are so many choices it's hard to decide what to get! There are also bottled beverages, ice cream and other items too. Supporting small business is important and this is one that deserves your money. The whip cream on the Oreo cook blast tasted like it had been sitting open in a refrigerator that doesn't get cleaned. Inedible. I couldn't stomach the taste after two bites. The maple bacon bar was okay. The sweetness of the maple and the delicious bacon mostly overpowered the taste of old dough. The man, who I assume is the owner, was friendly enough. I decided to try this place out since it had so many great reviews. Sadly I did not have the same experience as others. My donuts were very hard and tasted old. Not much flavor either. I was very excited when I saw they offered tamales. I was highly disappointed when the lady gave me a frozen block of tamales. I thought they would be warm. Doughnuts taste bad, very little filling inside doughnuts, cream puffs are hard with very little filling, my favorite maple bacon has fake bacon now and tastes disgusting. I've always driven past this place as it is positioned right before you get to a point on Martin where is merges with Pacific Ave into one road. I decided to go since it has a drive thru. I know, I must be getting lazy in my "elderly" years. Anyway, the parking lot isn't tiny but the spacing is weird and you have to watch out for people backing or pulling out or coming out of the drive thru when you're pulling in from Martin. The whole commotion can be quite hazardous from an accident stand point. Anyway the menu is really festive and full of color and all the pics almost appear to be actual size. I settled to 2 glazed twisters, 2 reg glazed donuts, 1 apple fritter, and a piña colada freezie. I pulled up to the window and the male voice from the speaker box then informed me they didn't have any twisters or the freezie. So I go two glazed donuts instead if the twisters and a French vanilla/mocha freezie. The freezie wasn't very good. The straw that was provided was not capable of allowing me to drink my beverage without fear of passing out from not being able to breathe. Ice chunks kept getting stuck in the straw. Good thing I had a back up in the car. Thank you Subway. The donuts were soft and actually very good and very inexpensive. They were almost yeasty doughy in texture. They are not like the nasty donuts from Krispy Kreme. I will be coming back here even with the lower rating as I was more pleased than unhappy.
