While Nancy was smooth to work with, like many posts here, I got the false vaccine records and stock puppy litter photos. I was fine with that, but the most confusing and unfortunately unforgivable deceit was marketing a golden doodle where, I just got the DNA results back and my dog is in fact a labradoodle. So! I only write this review to note that if your puppy is from Emma's little it is in fact a labradoodle and not golden (still 75/25% though). One extra star because my baby girl is still perfect.

I have a 7 month old doodle from Coco/Finn litter that I picked up from Twisted Oak in Oct 2020. I am so thankful to have my dog Maverick, and he's been a great addition to my life...his disposition is sweet and fun. He's incredibly smart and his coloring is beautiful! However I think there are a few things worth mentioning about my experience. There were no reviews when I got on the waitlist for twisted oaks. I found Twisted Oak after searching everywhere for a breeder I felt safe enough to put a deposit down that didn't have a wait list that was more than a year wait. The communication with Nancy went well as we waited for our pup to be born. -The first thing that was odd to me was when I saw the same picture of "Finn" that Twisted Oaks has on their website on a message board with someone talking about the dog calling it a female by another name https://www.labradoodle-dogs.net/threads/do-you-do-a-summer-haircut.13813/ I asked Nancy and she didn't know how this could be, but sent me a pic of Finn, which made me feel better---but still odd that two people were using the same picture claiming it was their dog -Second thing was the first pics of the puppies sent had a timestamp from May--our litter was born in August...so I don't think we were sent photos of our actual litter. -I'm a part of a few doodle groups on facebook and connected with a few people waiting for puppies from my litter and other litters due in the same time frame. I think we were all sent the same round of pictures These things definitely threw me off and made me nervous. There are a lot of horror stories and scams, so I was on edge until we actually got to Nancy's house and saw the puppies. The pups were all there and we had a nice conversation in Nancy's beautiful yard and all was well. I took Maverick to the vet for a pup check and was told he had an umbilical hernia and giardia. I let Nancy know about these things and she graciously sent me money for the price of the hernia correction,, which was awesome and appreciated. The hernia was obvious to a vet, so if she took the pups to the vet she would have known about this too and should have passed the info on to me before I chose the pup. Giardia is something dogs catch from water or feces, and I don't place "blame" on Nancy that Maverick had it, but it created a few trips to the vet and medicine to get it under control. I haven't had any health tests eyes, hips etc done on Maverick yet, so I'm hopeful he's in strong health and will be with me for many more years to come. I'm thankful to have Maverick but I'm unsure if I'd purchase another dog from Nancy with all the inconsistencies in stories I've heard.

I got my puppy from Nancy about 6 weeks ago. Thankfully I took her to the vet the next day. The vet was not happy with how she looked. His literal words were "she does not look like a normal happy puppy". It turned out she had a horrible infection of Giardia that took several rounds of medication to clear up. What's worse is that Nancy sounded surprised by the Giardia, and like she had just learned what it is. CLEARLY other puppies prior to mine have had it from prior reviews here. She doesn't take the puppies to the vet, and gives the vaccines herself. Which I thought was fine, but honestly it's not worth the trouble of getting an unhealthy puppy. She was also really anxious. When I got her they told me she's the chill one.. WRONG. She was just sick.  I love my puppy and she's doing well and healthy, but everything I had to go through unnecessarily after paying so much money for a healthy puppy just seems unfair. I'll also add--I did a lot of research before and after getting the puppy. The puppies sleep outside, which is NOT good for a well socialized puppy. And her pregnant dogs are kenneled outside... also not good. It gives me puppy mill vibes. The best breeders I've seen (yes the ones that have super long wait lists) have actual HOMES for their pregnant dogs where they live, not just hang around outside in a kennel to be bred over and over. And the puppies do not sleep outside. I wish I would've listened to my instincts and done more research beforehand about that part. TLDR: Find a better breeder. The longer wait and more money spent elsewhere will be worth it. Edit: she paid me for vet bills, your puppy will probably be fine but just wanted to let you people know there might be issues. My puppy's symptoms were diarrhea, she was NOT eating, and no where near the normal puppy energy she has now. She was visibly in pain and always scooting her butt. Symptoms started to subside about 1.5 weeks after I got her. Just know what to expect. Do some research on giardia and Best of luck!

Doodle - OWNER FALSIFIES VET RECORDS. BEWARE and confirm vet records prior.

PLEASE READ: I recently adopted a puppy from Nancy Hubbard, the dog breeder that owns this ranch, and love my puppy to death. My problem with this ranch is that Nancy falsified vet records for my pups litter and several other litters prior to his. This shows no integrity on her end, however she did confess to forging the papers and reported to have vaccinated the pups herself as well as apologized and offered to pay for the vet expenses by venmoing me my deposit back. I want to make this information known so that this doesn't happen again. Make sure to have the vet information prior to picking up your pup and please contact the vet to verify the information. The vet that she claimed to have gone to is Grantline Vet in Elk Grove and when I called to retrieve records, they confirmed she had been falsely claiming to have brought in several litters to them when they had only seen 1 pup at the end of 2019. Please be aware and take care of your pup! Please ask all the questions for the safety of your pet and if they are unable to provide answers, that should be your red flag! The picture of the vaccines posted is the picture she sent me as proof of purchasing vaccines and self vaccinating the pups.
