Happy Hour Warm Olives
Anna G.

Came here for Happy Hour (3-6pm) in a group of 4 adults and 1 baby on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so we were seated immediately. We were given a baby seat, but the washrooms do not have a changing seat. We had to go elsewhere. The Happy Hour menu is small, so we also ordered appetizers from the main menu. All drinks on the Happy Hour menu are $6, which was awesome. We ordered several dishes to share: herb frites, warm olives, hummus and naan, buttermilk chicken sliders, fried brussel sprouts, and calamari. Everything was tasty. The brussel sprouts were particularly good. If I came back again for Happy Hour, I would skip on the hummus & naan and warm olives, but definitely reorder the herb frites. I don't eat meat, but my company enjoyed the sliders. Also, our server was nice and friendly, and came around to make sure we were doing okay. I haven't been to many places in the village to compare, but we enjoyed our time at Twist.

Haven't been here for ages and was in collingwood for the weekend & stopped in in a Friday around 9pm. There was a DJ playing so it was loud. We didn't mind because then no One could hear us talking. Decor was cool - high ceilings, cool lighting and interesting artwork and wallpaper. The bathrooms were dated (likely original from when they opened). For a place that's supposed to be cocktail focused the cocktails seemed lacking. Gin is very popular right now and there was maybe one gin focused cocktail. Many of them seemed like they had a lot of juices and sugary additives. I had a spicy tequila one - it was pretty good. Food - I had a pear and apple salad + chicken. The chicken was amazing - because was their buttermilk fried chicken! Service was pretty good. Price - well you're in the village, so ‍my billl for the salad and 2 drinks was $65

Absolutely Disgusted. I'm currently sitting in my hotel room with my 3 year old crying to me about a stomach ache. I decided to do a little digging and we brought back the apple juice we ordered to the hotel room. He had 3-4 sips of it but told me it was yucky and stopped drinking from the cup. I opened the cup to discover murky water with what I thought were seeds from fruit. Upon closer inspection, what I thought were seeds were actually fruit flies upwards to a dozen of them floating around the juice. This is NOT ok. This IS Negligence. I wish I had checked the cup sooner. I was advised to return tomorrow at 1 PM as the supervisor, Patti had left for the evening. I am absolutely disgusted, furious and disappointed.

Lychee martini and can't remember the other names. But very tasty.

Absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies. Horrible food, worse service. Drinks are watered down.

We were looking for somewhere we could sit and work off our laptops for some hours and the café had ample seats and stable wifi. There's a bar area as well so you could go for an afternoon buzz. They seemed to have interesting options on the menu ranging from sandwiches to other small or shareable dishes. Read somewhere bread was from the Collingwood Bread Company. I always enjoy locally made baked goods. Latte and matcha latte were solid. Stole a bite of the smoked trout sandwich - if you love one of those smoked salmon creamy tangy spread sandwiches this is definitely a good one. Pictures not taken are the grilled cheese and cheese scone. Smoked cheese was used in the grilled cheese sandwich. I enjoy all kinds of cheeses so I was pleased with the smoky kick. Cheese scone was not heated up properly and somehow the cheese, despite looking like a typical golden cheddar, was not flavourful at all. Dough base of the scone lacked the buttery, flaky texture. I'd say skip it. Hm honestly this place deserves more reviews.

Very Very poor service, if you can find another service I would strongly recommend anything else, even calling a taxi to pick it up for you, it might cost more but they'll actually get you what you order without arguments over the order or over your payment/change. I strongly recommend using any other company. When visiting friends or family I have regularly tried using them and have not once had an order delivered correctly, and have multiple times been charged for things I did not order and had to fight with the delivery person over the bill. I wish I could give them zero Stars

Arrives, and has a gift pack ($12 more) of the 6-pack of beer, and was stunned when he realized the price - he hadn't even looked when he bought it! He went to get the right beer, called me from a different location asking me if I wanted the gift pack or the 12 pack... neither of which we asked for - he wasn't at the LCBO... he was at the beer store at this point. Told me (with exasperation) that it would be longer b/c he'd have to go back to the LCBO - not sure why I had to tell him that yes, that would have to happen b/c we had ordered the 6. Wow. Never again.
