I did a search for someone to do my maternity pictures. I came across Jess's page and liked her style. I contacted her and she was very prompt with her responses. I asked her how much she charged and she had multiple packages to choose from that seemed very reasonable. We booked our maternity shoot and my newborn photo shoot shortly after I contacted her. Jess got sick 4 days before our event. While I understand that I wouldn't want a sick photographer at a wedding it was the lack of professionalism that was disappointing. She sent a text at 1:30am that woke me up to cancel. I couldn't go back to sleep because of the anxiety about what to do and had to work that morning. I had to ask for my deposit back, she didn't offer it up immediately. With such short notice she should have provided more support other than just throwing some contacts at me. A professional would have picked up the phone and made that difficult call to the client to cancel. A professional would have made some calls on behalf of the client to find a replacement. The way it went down I didn't trust calling any of the referrals she gave me and felt forced to find a replacement on my own. I did find a replacement but at double the cost given the short notice. read more

TLDR: We strongly recommend Jessica for anyone who wants great photos from a very sweet and easy to work with photographer, at a great price. My husband and I have had Jessica photograph us twice. The first time was for an engagement session at Gene Coulon Park. Our thirty minute session was in early December. It was drizzling on and off that day, so she offered to let us reschedule, but we decided to go ahead as planned. It ended up being just fine. She knew the park and plenty of little spots to shoot us along the trees, near the water, etc. I think we got like 50 photos from a thirty minute shoot and we loved them. We were pleasantly surprised by how many different pictures she was able to get of us in that short session. She arrived early and even though she didn't know the area well, she got fantastic photos of us and our families around the courthouse, city hall, and some sculptures, art installments, and pretty flower bushes that were around the courthouse. We got over 100 photos from that day. We were super happy with them. Her price for us was also really reasonable.
