We had the absolute best experience with Miguel today. He took pictures of my family of two and his interaction with our kids and us was priceless. Beat service we've had at this location and we really hope he is still here next time we're back. Thank you so much again Miguel, you made our experience an unforgettable one. -Maribel Bramall read more

I definitely would recommend going here with babies and little little kids. They were very unprofessional short tempered. It's a little tiny space. The thing is already bought a package for $350 and I didn't even go back from the rest of my pictures because it was such an uncomfortable experience. read more

Did an impromptu family portrait a few days ago and was impressed by how fast and easy the whole process was. We walked in, took our pictures, and were on our way. I'd definitely recommend this place and will probably use them again in the future. read more

Had my daughters Xmas picture taken. There went friendly at all. The lady that took the picture did everything so fast and rushed. The prices where higher than I normally have seen cheapest package started at like $200 for a few prints abs a flash drive. They are selling packages of $1,000 or more. The picture are some what blurry and the quality of the paper very cheap. Regret it not going there again. read more

Brought my newborn to this location for his first photoshoot and had the most amazing experience! First of all, I was so nervous about the shoot. I didn't know how my baby was going to be (fussy/cooperative/or possible blowout). I was also nervous that I wasn't going to get the kind of angelic-swaddled newborn photos that I see on Pinterest. Well, all I can say is that I was so fortunate to get Lana as our photographer! She was absolutely amazing with my baby and was such a professional. When we first arrived, my baby (who to my amazement hadn't fallen asleep in the car ride) started to get fussy as soon as we started the shoot. Lana, however, was able to calm him and make him feel comfortable enough that he soon went sound asleep. Once he was asleep, she worked her magic and made all of my baby photo dreams come true! She took her time in swaddling him and making sure that everything in the shoot looked perfect. The pictures turned out so beautiful! They truly look like pieces of artwork. I have gotten so many compliments on the photos. They all turned out so wonderful that it was tough to choose which ones I wanted blown up and framed. I would recommend Lana to any and everyone and will request her when we go back for a family shoot. Thank you again, Lana, for your patience, your artistic view, and an overall wonderful experience. I will forever cherish these photos of my firstborn. read more

I had a really terrible experience here with Brandy, which resulted in me leaving without even doing my photo session. I won't go into great detail as I've already spoken to the regional manager about it. However, I will say be aware that if you are using a Groupon, they will try very hard to talk you into buying other items, quoting you high prices that may or may not be accurate... Before your session even begins! I was made to feel like myself, my son, and my Groupon were unwelcome here unless I spent hundreds of dollars on other items. And yes, this was without having taken any pictures yet! Very unethical business practice. Definitely go to the mall location, and definitely ask for a manger to do you're session, if possible. read more

I chose picture people because I am not a fan of JC Penny in my town and I've seen some great photos from friends at picture people. I had photos taken today. When we walked in, the manager did not smile and the vibe that she gave did not seem welcoming. The photos that were taken were not great and seemed really plain, even with a colorful background. All the picture places tend to do the same standard poses. The photographer seemed slightly irritated at my 4 year old. He is delayed and he was not understanding some of her request. I called ahead to see what props they had before I decided to make the appointment and I was told they had an abundant supply of props, so I made the appointment. When we got there, I did not see many props. The number props were well worn and peeling and in the photos, they looked dirty. What irritated me the most was that we purchased the CD and copyright. The photographer took many poses, but they selected one from each pose to show us, so we did not get to see how all of them turn out, who know, we might have liked some of the other poses. They did not offer to enhance photos, such as doing collages or writing on them, which is standard at JC Penny. For $100, the CD was not worth it. Overall, they are just way to expensive. I will not be going back to picture or at least not in WA. The 2 hour drive is not worth it! read more

We went for pictures on Saturday night, not a "hello, we will be right with you" not any greeting for atleast 20 mins and we had an appointment. The gal that helped us was not friendly and obviously we were her last client for the night. I ended up purchasing the disk after we already had purchased a group on. After waiting 30 more minutes she informed me that they wrote my email wrong and I would need to wait until first thing the next morning for the disk. No biggie. So I called and left 2 messages yesterday and 2 today, hoping to talk to someone. No call backs or anything . Needless to say, I paid 124.00 for a disk (including a generous tip) that I need for a birthday present. They are closed the next two days! I would not recommend this place! Very disappointed still now pictures or call back and it's Tuesday evening read more

Awful experience. We have used them a few times in the past with success but this time was horrible. We were there for over 2 hours with a cranky toddler and baby. The pictures didn't turn out great. In one picture the baby is covering my face. I don't understand why the photographer wouldn't suggest better posing. We liked maybe 3 pictures and it was over $200 just for digital copies, no prints. Never again. read more

We booked an appointment nearly 2 weeks ago and never received confirmation so apparently it didn't go through. We pushed our whole day back for this 40 min appointment because it was a Christmas gift. We ended up being there for over two hours. Our photos were taken by someone who was new and it shows in the photos and the way they handled us. They had no idea how to pose us or what do do and were asking us how we wanted to pose which is fine but part of the reason we're paying these people is to figure out the composition for us? We finished the session in about 20 minutes with a ton of repeat poses on different backgrounds because the employee couldn't figure out what else to do. They then had technical difficulties when editing the photos, which happens and I was prepared to be understanding but we really didn't get an apology we just got jokes from the senior employee about fighting with the computer. I made it clear I was unamused as we were already over an hour and a half in and received attitude for not laughing at her joke. I said I just wanted prints and I wanted no holiday themed stuff. They pushed multiple $500 packages on me and filled half our green screen backgrounds with Christmas themes and seemed frustrated when I asked to change it. I know that it takes time to train new employees on how to use transaction systems and such but when I said we really need to leave after being there for 2 hours, that was not the time to train the new employee. I ended up buying $100 worth of prints with no discount or apology for the time wasted or the unprofessionalism. Worst experience I've had at a "professional" photography studio and absolutely regret everything about the experience, especially the fact that I paid for this. read more

This was by far the best family picture experience we have ever had!! We were in taking pictures before our scheduled time, our photographer was on the ball with posing us, and took Great pictures! Plus we were out the door just as quickly. We were extremely happy with the entire experience!! read more

Maleenia was so awesome as she quickly shot our little family of 3. She did tons of poses with us and they all felt comfortable. The whole process was quick and painless and we left with a cute frame of a few of our favorites to put on our wall at home. read more

We had a session with Maleenia, right away she gave us awesome ideas for our shoot, using multiple backgrounds and props. Our 1 month old decided to throw a fit in the middle of the session. She was very patient with us and gave us time to try and calm her down... It didn't work so after a hour and a half of on and off shooting she scheduled us to come for another appointment to be fully satisfied with our pictures! I was so impressed with her patience and creativity. Can't wait to finish up next week. read more

My husband surprised me for Mother's Day to go and take some pictures with our 6 month old. So we arrive, and there are two ladies there. The photographer seemed to be in training because she was needing support with lighting direction & where to place us. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if the other lady was open to be more supportive and gave us direction or feedback as the pictures were being taken. We brought some toys to try and help our baby look at the camera, the other lady was asked to help by the photographer and seemed to be annoyed that she needed to leave her desk again. It was a very quick session, 20 mins or so, and in the end the photographer apparently only took 21 pictures.. in my experience from having other paid photography sessions, you constantly click so that you have have a lot images to choose from incase of blinking, distracted babies, etc. So I wasn't really expecting to have much to choose from. On top of that, they said ok it will be 15 mins for us to do some edits. Fine, so as we are sitting and the other lady comes to me and says " I have a question for you. Your prosthetic leg is showing in the photos, do you want me to chop it off in the pictures or leave it? " I'm absolutely dumbfounded. Should I be ashamed to be an amputee? Should I hide a part of me in my own family photos? I quickly said, leave it in. My husband was tending to the baby and didn't hear this interaction, but I jumped up and got the car keys and said I need to go to the car. As soon as I started walking out I burst into tears. I wore a skirt that day, if I really wanted to hide my leg I would have worn pants. I sobbed in my car while I waited over 25 mins for the picture gallery to be ready. This was my first Mother's Day and this woman ruined it with her blatant ignorance and apparent intolerance for people with disabilities. Does she ask others if they want parts of their bodies, wheelchairs, or deformities photoshopped? I would not recommend this place to anyone, they are not professional, undertrained and ignorant. read more

We had a great experience with Maleenia - she is fantastic! She took some great pictures and worked through part of her lunch break to allow us the time we needed to feed and change our newborn right in the middle of the photoshoot. Great location inside Buy Buy Baby for babies with a breastfeeding room and very understanding staff. Would definitely recommend and we plan to use this location again for our next photos! read more

Maleenia is fantastic!! So happy she does photos! She has a very artistic eye and also is soooo understanding! She is amazing!

So disappointing! The person who takes the photos was okay but the process for them to download the photos so I could see them took way too long. Then they didn't even download all of the photos. With 3 kids, it's tough to get good shots so you need to look at the nuances in each to select the best. So they went back and downloaded a few more. Another long wait. I have 3 kids with me and I'm waiting and waiting to see the photos to select some. Thankfully, I brought snacks and some entertainment for the kids but it was a real pain. Then they didn't have the frames in stock that I was interested in. And, they didn't even have many options in or out of stock. I thought they would be better than JC Penney, where I've been going for the past 6 years, but I was wrong. I had to return to pick up the pictures since I couldn't wait any longer and the frame wasn't what I expected and it would apparently cost more to just take the pictures without the frame. The photos look more washed out than what it looked like when they showed them to me on their screen. Overall, it was a very disappointing process and result. I will not return. It was worse since my sister goes to Picture People in another city and always seems to have good photos. I'm very unhappy with the result and can't find someone beyond the local manager (who took the photos) to complain to. read more

I recently took my Daughter in for her 3 year birthday pictures. Maleenia did a wonderful job! She is very patient and great with little kids. She even told me that since she didn't have another customer scheduled after me, she'd take as long as we needed to make sure we got the perfect shots we wanted. I came in with a Groupon deal for prints of just one pose, but loved ALL her pictures so ended up buying the full CD at a discounted price. She told me about other packages available for purchase, but in no way did I feel pressured at all. I would definitely recommend this location, especially if you have a toddler. I took my Daughter to the mall location when she was about 15 months, and it was a bad experience... the photographer was clearly annoyed with us and basically like a deer in the headlights when it came to how to photograph a little one. Needless to say... that time I barely found ONE pose that was worth buying (and only at the cheap Groupon price). Great job Maleenia, we'll be back to see you again! :) read more
