My dogs Rico and Yanni love this vet clinic. My dogs are rescues and started out with rough lives. They have always been traumatized after a vet visit in the past. They gladly go in and out. This vet has absolutely no common sense, no people skills. After fixing my dog his wound came open twice. She told me he chewed his inside stitches and staples. (Which she couldn't see that and not true) She told me She would have to sedate him but I would have to buy another cone even though I bought one the day before. She refused to do anything unless he was wearing a cone going out the door. So I said I guess I need to go to another vet. I was not going to buy another cone when I had just bought one from her. Does that make any sense? We have had several dogs and cats be fixed over the years and I have never had this happen anywhere. At that point she said she was refusing to treat him, sell me antibiotics or wound spray. She was looking for a reason not to do her job and took the easy way out. I believe she really didn't know what to do. This was the first time I had even met her. She had no idea who I was, how many animals I have nor did she care. The point she proved was she is an arrogant, egotistical, inexperienced vet with absolutely no empathy or people skills. She should find another career. As I got back into my car my dog was bleeding everywhere which he was not when he went in. I wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone. read more

My dog got sick and he had a horrific cough just out the blue got very I'll so we contacted this vet being we're not fro here recently moved here we just had to have help and the lady at front desk said we're not taking appts with new patients. We begged her to see our baby he was spitting blood up she refused and hung phone up!! This was yesterday and he passed away last night cough so I h blood up we held him in our arms and watched him take his last breath which devastated my husband,daughter and myself he was part of our family and I feel like she could have been more helpful she was rude and cruel we offered however much money they needed we would spend right then no wait just to see him on emergency visit and she refused was rude and hung up. I hope she feels good about herself being we loss our baby last night . It's not her fault but the staff should be more considerate and caring for these animals if there in that line of work- so I plan for Monday to speak with her boss about why couldn't she at least refer us to another vet for emergency services being we're not from here we don't know where these vets are and it was 5pm before we got off work and saw how bad his condition had deteriorated over a days time. My family is at a loss for words of how bad we're hurting due to losing him and the rude unprofessional staff this vet has hired. I will be speaking to her boss and I wanted to let ppl know this because what if u was in our shoes all we needed was a visit or at least info about who would see him at that time the only person she told us before hanging up was in Montgomery Alabama which I couldn't not get too . So if u have an emergency with your pet and need help after hours don't look for this place to help if she's working.we loss our fur baby in the end so I don't want anyone to feel the pain we feel right now and had to witness him suffer like that and taking his last breath with us trying to tell him it is ok and comfort him the best we could it was 10:30pm when he passed so suddenly and no where to take him to save him which is really sad!! People need to realize this effect by u hating ur job or it's just a paycheck and u have no bedside manners nor any passion for there jobs anymore which makes ppl suffer when they can't get help or even some advice on what's happening and where we could go. All I'm saying is I don't want you to feel and have to see what my family experienced in result of this situation.. sorry so long but she is a horrible human being to turn away a dog who u can plainly see isn't breathing properly and is burning up , u should really find a new occupation and god forbid it be a doc or nurse position!! Hope u read this and understand my pain and why I'm giving this vet a triple ooo in review!! For anyone who works there she knows who she is I don't got to call her out but I apologize to rest of ur staff whom maybe caring good ppl then I'm not taking about u but this lady was just pure rude and didn't even want to hear us out knowing we're panicking about our baby boy!! Hope u sleep well at night knowing you turned away someone who really needed help and money was no issue I was willing to pay any amount to save my baby!!rip our fur baby diesel!!we loved u so much! read more

08/03/21 UPDATE: Got a call back this morning and they agreed to fix their mistake. Much happier customer now. I was soooo disappointed when taking my rescue dog (13 years old) back for her third visit (Friday), the vet didn't even read her chart and acted like this was the first time she saw her. After explaining to the vet my concerns, she just had a disgusted look on her face and then proceeded to tell me she looks bad. :( The vet wasn't being very helpful in any remedies or tests. She offered to do a skin scrape and maybe a biopsy (which my pet had already had a few months ago). Then she came back in saying she MAY have mites, because her hands were itching, but she didn't find anything on the skin scrape. I asked, "Wouldn't that affect me, since she sleeps with me?" at which point I knew that she didn't care what was really wrong with my pet. Upon leaving with two prescriptions and a new shampoo, the bill was $395. I was never explained why or what that cost was, just expected to pay it, which I did. The one prescription I gave my pet, made her heart race and so I didn't give her any more. I have a call into the vet this morning (Monday) to see if she will be willing to fix this. read more

Dr. Misty went above and beyond to provide compassionate care for our special needs hydrocephalus puppy. When Bella took a sudden turn for the worse, Dr. Misty and Christi met us after hours to end her suffering. She has given the best care to all my fur babies. I wouldn't refer this vet if they were the last ones. When they say they love your pets..they really mean they love your $. If you don't have $ then they make it clear your pet isn't important. I took my puppy (who was very sick) but they refused to see him because I didn't have the cash. Thank God Dr. Greene at Trinity (in Hartford) took him right in and did everything he could until he took his last breath (heartbreaking). read more

Dr. Misty and her staff are the best in the business. They love on our three girls, (2 Boston Terriers and a dawg), every time we walk in. The girls love the staff so much that every time we go Lima Bean will run down the hall to see everyone and makes sure they know she is there. We recently moved about an hour away and I will still make the drive to make sure my girls get the best care ever! Maggie, Lima Bean, Jasmine and I recommend Twin Rivers Clinic.
