Our evening began with a short farm tour where we walked among the vegetable patches from which our meal would be prepared. The tour host highlighted various foods which we would be tasting (buckeye, kohlrabi, carrots and garlic to name a few). After the 15 minute walk about, we were seated at long tables with other guests and the 6 course feast began! Fresh baked bread, crisp veggies with unique sauces, and perfectly prepared mains with interesting flavors were paired with wines and spirits from the farm. It was a little grocery, a pet supply area, souvenirs, holiday room, and a huge greenhouse area. We spent so much time here we decided not to go to the beach and head home to plant our flowers. This place was amazing. We talked to Karen back in the nursery about flowers. She was very patient, kind and answered all our questions. We will definitely be back around the holidays because Karen was telling us how amazing the place is decorated.

It starts in July. Short window. The blueberries get spayed in spring and then no more. Wear big repellent if you are sensitive but there were very few bugs and an occasional bee. The woman who runs and owns the farm was very informative. Good honest farming at its best. They have three varieties of blueberry bush. Highly recommend you leave the earbuds at home and enjoy the zen of picking blueberries. They only cost about $2.35 a lb and I can't wait to make a pie. My secret is lemon juice and a little nutmeg. We picked 8 pounds for less than $20!!! They really could charge double and people would still pay. We don't get the experience of picking our own fruit in major metropolitan areas so the experience is all part of the fun. There are tons of bushes, we wanted to go back on Monday before leaving town but it's their closed day.
