I found a very pleasant surprise at this Specs you may be interested in knowing*! First off since…read moreI rarely drink I can feel very lost in a liquor store. I visit a liquor store about twice a year and want to get all my alcohol in one trip. My purchases are for cooking, gifts and visitors. I always try to latch on to an employee to help me find what I need quickly. Upon entering the store I quickly noticed some leftover holiday gift sets with the particular alcoholic bottle and matching glasses. They were the same price as their bottle on the shelf but included cool looking matching gift glasses. I was first helped by a lady for a large bottle of Disaronno 1.75 L. They only had one large bottle and it was $50. I never recall paying such a high price for it. I asked the lady if it goes on sale and to my surprise she told me the prices fluctuate year round mostly around the holidays. I asked her when the best time of year was to stock up/purchase liquor and she told me in January. So y'all know now when to stock up at least for Spec's Liquor which is only in TX. After the lady dumped me to do something else I found a wonderful employee named Zack who helped me finish shopping. *Here's the good news. Zack was born and raised in Louisiana I found out when looking for the correct Abita beer to make some Red Eyed Gravy, Louisiana Barbecued Shrimp and other incredible Cajun meals he knew of an awesome cookbook with Cajun and some Creole recipes passed down from many generations basically the Crem Dela Crem of Cajun cooking. I'll share that with you in the cookbook called "Talk About Good Cookbook"! Available on Amazon and some retail stores. Zack was a wonderful employee taking me right to the liquor or non alcoholic mixers I needed. He was like a host in a 5 star Hotel. I give him 10 stars!!! The store is medium in size and had a few employees walking around to help the customers. The checkout lady was very sweet and packed my purchases very well. This Spec's is on the NW corner of Woodlands Pkwy and Kuykendahl closest to the street in a separate stand alone building kinda hiding amongst many tall trees. They have their own parking lot. Ask for Zack, he enjoys his job and won't dump you to fend for yourself.

There's something "off" about the customer service here. Each time I've gone to this store the…read morestaff behind the register have an attitude, and today Amanda was no exception. I don't understand the weird hostile attitude, but with so many other options in the area, I won't be giving any more of my business to this store.
