The employees here are incredible. They have a great deal of patience, as the waiting area is often full of barking dogs. The prices for spay/neuter are excellent. There is often a wait for an appointment because they are very busy. The vaccine clinics are walk-in, no appointment required. Currently the vaccination hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:30 to 5:00 and Saturday mornings. They also do dental cleanings here, at a reasonable price. While we often take our pets to our full-service veterinarian this is a great place to obtain routine vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Anyways, Lilly Vanilly (Lilly) was always food insecure. She was a dumpster kitty that was weaned way too soon. She became obese and had some health problems because of it. Last month she became constipated. She would strain and cry. We attempted all of the things. Pumpkin, forcing fluids, high fiber wet food. We made an appointment and they got us in the same day for a ROUTINE appointment. They didn't charge for an ER appointment which I appreciated. They took X-rays and Lilly needed to be deobstipated. I left her there for the afternoon. The initial deobstipation didn't work. The second one a few days later worked much better and she seemed like she was getting along much better. Back to her normal self! Fast forward a week later and she was just not doing great. She had to go to the kitty ER in Indy and stayed for a day. Anyways long story short they fixed her once again. Temporarily. We lost our poor girl today. I'm not sure if it was the constipation or the fact that she may have had an obstruction but her last month of life was heartbreaking. All-Star was incredible through the entire process. Seeing these comments about how expensive it is has been strange because I feel like the cost of services is on par with any other facility but the staff here shines! Even follow up texts to ensure things are going well. Yesterday I made an appointment for 0800 today because she stopped eating and began exhibiting signs of generalized weakness. Lilly didn't make it to her appointment. She passed about 7am today. I still brought her in, but a different kind of appointment. We made the decision to get the personalized cremation where they return the ashes in an urn of your choice. They also allowed me to take paw prints which I turned into art. They'll do much better prints for me as well (I'm not a professional paw print taker, but I love to paint and Lilly would always kind of just sit and watch while I create. I'm glad I had supplies with me today) anyways. As sad as this story is I still have two cats as patients and I'm very impressed with the care that we received.

First off, I got sold on some flea, tick and heartworm medication for my two dogs that was $246 for a three month supply. When I could've got it online for the very same product for $109. And I explained to them I needed to go the cheapest way possible because of all the vaccines and all the blood work they insisted on doing, that my fiancé was gonna be really upset if it was $300. The total being almost $600. Now, a month later, I call them because I have a question about my kitten's blue buffalo wilderness food. I don't want a referral to buy one of their recommended dog food brands like Purina, Iams, Hills science diet, any of that crap. If you read the label, you will see All the toxic poisons and filler that is in those brands. Also, you will see that the exact same thing is in Purina that's in science diet. You just pay significantly more. All I want to know was a couple questions I had about a couple of the ingredients that were in my kitten's food. That's it that's all. Instead I get a text message, (when in my file it says do not text me or email me, only call me,) Telling me nothing about the blue Buffalo kitten wilderness food that I inquired about. But telling me to buy one of their cat food brands that they are paid to push on people. They get kickbacks or percentage from selling those specific brands of food. And like I responded to them I shouldn't have expected anything better because they are not pet nutritionist. They are veterinarians. It's just like if I have a question about what I should or should not eat, my doctor tells me to talk to a nutritionist or a dietitian. Because he is neither.

" - I wasn't fine I was worried to death. Dr.Carter sensed the bond with Armani and myself. He did bloodwork- all was good . He came back in and said something about to cut the worrying I am going to clean his teeth RIGHT NOW while you wait. I will clean them , remove any bad teeth, sanitize his mouth, scale them, give him a 2 week antibiotic, feed him cottage cheese tonight and he can go back to his raw pork tomorrow. 45 minutes later he came back with Armani wrapped in a blanket , We had to pull 9 teeth- no sign of pain, no blood and Armani was wide awake. I took him home and my mom had purchased 2 large tubs of cottage cheese. Armani wouldn't touch it . He wanted his raw pork ( he had IBD) I gave him about a tablespoon of raw pork and he chomped it down looking at me cause he wanted more. Cautiously I gave him another tablespoon and then another . "Armani you can't have anymore" I said around 5 pm . Around 9 pm he was ready for dinner. - I gave him half his normal amount - Armani chomped it down and looked at me- he wanted more- I gave him another serving - We went to bed and the next morning I was following him to the kitchen- he was ready for breakfast without one sign of discomfort! This summer my 20 yo Landon needed a dental. He was sick from 2 bad teeth. Dr.Carter did the exact same thing -" i don't want you to worry - we are going to do the same thing as we did with Armani - he did his blood , he went over the procedure again . Gave him a sedative , just let him relax and I will be back in about 20 mins. Dr.Carter brought him back to me 45 minutes later- he cleaned,scaled and sanitized Landon's teeth and pulled 2. Landon was wide awake , showed no pain, wanted to eat as soon as he got home. Again chomping away like he had missed a meal. Dr.Carters staff is as amazing as Dr.Carter . Landon had quit eating a few days prior. They had no openings when I frantically called. The person answering the phone came right back and said Dr.Carter is going to see Landon . He can see him in 30 minutes. I live a little ways away , thought about the construction and it being rush hour " I don't think can possibly make it in 30 minutes" " it's ok drive safe and we will see you when you get here. " I got there and they warmly greeted me and took me straight back to the exam room. Also, price is not an issue when it comes to a 19 yo and and a 20 yo cat. safety is the issue. Before I found Dr.Carter I went to a handful of vets that were going to charge me hundreds and hundreds more. The vets couldn't convince me that they were going to be ok . Within minutes of my first initial visit with Dr.Carter and his caring manner and experience I knew Dr.Carter was the person that could do this . Within an hour of each visit we were on our way home . I am so grateful to Dr.Carter and his staff.Armani lived to be 21yrs and 10 months . Despite these symptoms Herrmann would not see our cat for two weeks. When we reiterated that our cat was in distress Herrmann told us to try a different veterinarian. The other veterinarian saw our cat the following morning even though we were new patients. Our cat died that day. The outcome likely would have been the same but it was unacceptable that Herrmann would not fit their patient in for appropriate care. When we really needed them, they sent us elsewhere. My husband had stopped in one day to get some pricing information for vaccines, exams and grooming. Ultimately, we chose to keep them at the low-cost animal clinic for their health needs, but really liked the pricing and offerings available in regards to grooming. My first impressions were that the facility is very neat and clean, and the staff was very personable and professional. We were greeted, and I could tell that they were expecting us. Laramie, the groomer, came out right away to discuss our wants/needs, any behavioral concerns, and the possibility of needing sedation. All of this information was previously discussed when I completed the online request for an appointment and again during the phone call to finalize the appointment. I appreciate their thoroughness. It made me feel good knowing that nothing was going to happen that we hadn't previously discussed without it being discussed once more for confirmation! I did receive a text a couple hours later, stating that because my babies had been a little scared, Laramie was taking her time and giving them breaks. She updated me on the expected pick-up time as well. In all, Cali and Oreo (my kitties) were in their care for 5 hours. All of our "pain points" were taken care of. They were bathed - shampooed and conditioned, their nails were trimmed, and they even received an all-over trim of their fur. The texture of their coats was noticeably different and they smelled amazing. I'm not sure if they enjoyed their spa day or not, but my husband and I were so happy to see them all trimmed and cleaned up. I had sent with each of the kitties their favorite catnip toys for comfort and Cali's was missing when we got home. I called the animal hospital right away and after a brief hold, I was told that they didn't see it. But since it wasn't in the carrier and they'd only been there, I knew that it would turn up. I texted the groomer, asking her to call me once it was found and we'd happily come collect it anytime. Shortly thereafter, I received a call that they'd found it. She was reunited with her pink champagne bottle spouting feathers the very next day! We will definitely book with them again. Our littlest kitty has never been professionally groomed, so she's next. The grooming prices are very reasonable, and while they could have insisted on sedation, earning them an additional $170, they did not. I saw one review claiming that they were "money hungry", and to be honest we expected a call about needing sedation for that very reason, but I really don't think that they are.

Over the phone / email, they are very transparent - they answered all my questions & were very clear on pricing, which I appreciated! Plenty of places to park & good signage outside. The vet assistants are sweet & did a great job with my dog. Dr. Fleck is very knowledgeable & great at assessing pet's needs & delivering good results. The only con I have is that all my appointments have been over an hour. And that is at least 45+ minutes of just waiting. The actual adjustment itself is pretty quick. Im not sure if I've always been there during strange times, or if that's how their practice is always run. Again, Dr. Fleck is great, just make sure you have ample time to spare.
