After reading about her many years of experience on her website, I knew I had found the right seamstress. She's friendly, honest, patient, professional, and skilled. My wedding was postponed twice due to Covid. Jeanette offered to store my dress at her place to save me the hassle of bringing it back. She's such a thoughtful person. I bought my wedding gown at an Alfred Angelo closeout sale nine months before my wedding date. Around four months later I brought the dress to a family friend whom my parents insisted I bring it to because she used to make wedding dresses. She ends up hanging on to the dress until a month before the wedding. When I get it back, I notice my dress was hemmed like a pair of pants, just folded over. The outer layer of my dress is lace and it looked like a loofa. My so-called bustle was a hole through the backside of my dress to just pull the hanger loop out from underneath. It was a mess. I showed my MOH and bridesmaids. It got to a point where they told me to just buy a new dress. I really liked my Disney dress so I made a few calls to some mobile seamstresses. They all said it was too late for my dress to be fixed. This is where Jeanette answers my call and says she could take a look and see if it can be done in 2 weeks. The next morning, I get off work from my night shift, shower, and rush on over to her place which was only 10 minutes away. I put on my dress and she starts to take apart the stitching my family friend did to the lace. It was salvageable. I saw all the dresses she had made and placed on display. I knew I was at the right place. She specialized in lace. Four days after I left my dress with Jeanette, she calls me saying my dress was finished. She really worked her magic! It was ahead of schedule and she lifted so much weight off my shoulders. I tried on the dress and it was perfect. She made a beautiful bustle with three hook points, and showed me how to find the hooks so I could show my bridesmaids. I cannot thank Jeanette enough for taking on the mess of my dress. I highly recommend her for dress alterations and custom made dresses.

My first appointment consisted of a desperate need of some work on a bridesmaid dress. The wedding was in March and I think we got started on the dress in late January/early February. It was a 3 layer dress that needed to be hemmed the 3/4 weird material sleeves also needed to be taken in. I had a few fittings between my first appointment and my final pick up, and she did a beautiful job. During this first appointment, I brought along my new sequin pants (apparently they are making a come back and I am ahead of fashion haha!) I wasn't sure if this could even be done. I am 5'2" on a good day and she had to cut off an obscene amount of fabric. Let me tell you though, they look great! I love these pants and always try to find the right even to wear them. Serena has many many other talents. Super fixes, various other fabric handlings, etc... if you are in need of something that required needle and thread, reach out. You will not be disappointed. I have had multiple pairs of jeans, just like the ones that I took in, hemmed with original hems with absolutely no problems whatsoever. A hem is a pretty basic thing for a seamstress, even if it involves putting back on an original hem. I would have much rather she told me that she just didn't want to do it, or didn't have the time, than to insult my intelligence by telling me all the reasons it couldn't be done. Dry Cleaning Butler might want to explore hiring a new seamstress.

One time I took new clothes I recently had purchased from a department store because there was a slight mildew odor. I did not notice the odor when I purchased them, only after I arrived home and removed the tags. The dry cleaner deodorize the clothes so there was no smell at all. I was so happy and amazed it got the odor out without ruining the clothes. I have also had my clothing altered with very good results. I will continue to use this dry cleaner, I have trust in them and the quality of the workmanship is very good. Nice people work there too, which means a lot to me.
