NOT this place! After the first class I think everyone that worked there already knew my daughters name. We started with my almost four year old. She LOVED it from day one! The teachers are absolutely incredible! After my two year old watched our oldest enough times, she started wanting to take dance class. She in VERY introverted so we thought there was no way she would do it. They held an open house one Saturday, and we took our two year old. Literally one of the instructors scooped up our two year olds hand with a huge smile on her face, and started teaching her. She LOVED IT. We signed her up but we still weren't sure if she would like it. Well she didn't like it, she LOVED it! So now our almost four year old and two year old both go here. Everyday they wake up asking if they get to go to dance class today! I've even had text conversation with the OWNER helping me sign up or answer questions. That's unheard of these days. There are MANY studios in the Keller/Southlake area, but I can promise you, this is the best one!!!

I told her no that I've been texting with someone, Erin, and set it up with her. She got my name and pointed me to the door and that was it. Very rude and unpleasant, made me very uncomfortable. Then they have a tiny little window you can look through to watch your child, but all the moms are surrounding it. Only one mom was nice to me and knew that I was trying to see if my little girl was even interested so I could peek through the window every now and then. I will not say all families/dancers have that same attitude, but that's normal. The actual management and owner do a great job of making students and families feel valued and they give back to the community through food drives, etc. The song selections are always honorable, the attire chosen respects the body God created, and the quality is not compromised. They also do not change tickets to see your own children perform, which does happen at other studios. Highly recommend Grace of Dance.

After doing lots of searching and looking online before the move I came across this studio I had reached out even before we moved to ask if it was to late to get my daughter in. I was ALWAYS responded to quickly by the office staff especially miss Angie! The first day we went in to try a class I instantly felt welcomed and like family already. This studio was a lot smaller than our previous one so I was a bit nervous at first but we felt an instant connection and looked no further. We love the values of this studio and how much they lean into faith in all they do. We had our first recital with them in June and enjoyed it, all the staff works really hard and I have found that the "smaller" studio to us made for a better home studio for us where people really get to know you and your child's name. I pray my daughter continues to grow here and be challenged to become a better dancer and better person.

We wanted something to do together that was fun and to make sure we all had the basics of some line dances before we headed out. In the texts and call leading up to our first session we told them exactly what we were interested in, even sending YT video links. When we arrived, the instructor had no clue and instead insisted the we learn the one he wanted us to. And to be fair, as soon as we stepped in it was clear this studio is really not geared for line dances. I wish they would have just told us that. If you want ballroom or wedding first dance stuff, they look like a place to check out. But for casual small group stuff, I would not recommend. But, we had some fun and, since this was a gift to a friend, we even went for our second session, figuring the instructor had seen what we could do. Again, we told him EXACTLY what we wanted. Still, when we arrived for the second session, the instructor had not given our wish list a look. While we waited, he did go look at a video for Shivers, and then attempted to teach it. It was terrible. Heck, even anyone who has seen DWTS knows you count movements. When we asked him to, it was clear he was annoyed and his steps were not even close to the many videos online. Furthermore, I don't think he taught any of the dances the same way twice. Sometimes we would end one way, sometimes halfway through the steps, etc. It's clear from his moves, when we saw him working with a solo before we arrived, that he is a good dancer, just not the type of dancing we were looking for. It was super disappointing as these sessions were a gift for one of the people going on the cruise. Ballroom dancing, sure they are worth a look, but you had better make sure they are going to teach you what you want and NOT what they want to teach. Or ask them to just tell you that they don't teach what you are looking for.

We had a great time, felt confident in what we learned, and certainly will go back soon for more lessons and events. We both wanted to take country dance classes but didn't like that our only option was a bar. When we tripped across Studio 22, this is exactly what we'd hoped for. This event was organized and well planned with professional instructors who were patient and kind. Studio 22 made it fun, not intimidating. The ratio of guests balanced itself out. They encourage frequent rotation of partners (if you go as a couple, that's okay too), no one person was without a partner for too long. There was a wide range of dance lessons, not just country. The studio itself was very spacious, large enough to hold 50 - 80 people comfortably. There are dozens of four top tables along the wall, no reservations, you have to grab one asap. You are allowed to bring your own water bottles (BYOB). They kept the temperature very comfortable, impressive! Dress code is casual attire, something easy to move in, and shoes you can easily shuffle in. There is a fantastic YELP coupon when you check in: 1 Free Group Lesson.
