My oldest daughter started here first and once her younger sister saw her at her ballet recital she wanted to come too! The teachers are so friendly and make learning ballet fun through games and props. Also the Bravo Bash's they have are so cute, from the tutus to the photo shoot after. W love coming here!

Wonderful school with high level of technical training, incl. for 4/5 year old group. Small class size and supportive yet demanding teacher make for a great experience and confidence building for our twin ballerinas. Convenient location where you can do quick shopping or grab coffee when kids are in class. Easy and available parking adds to a great experience. We love this school!

Karen Kirk is the sweetest teacher. She is patient and kind and makes the class so fun for the girls. My daughter started ballet here this year and it has been so nostalgic for me to watch her prance around the room and learn technique at the same studio I did. I highly recommend this studio.

16+ years of my life was dedicated here…read more I started dancing when I was... how old? gosh I dont even remember! Ballet was definitely a large part of my life. Even now, three years from retiring, I want to go back. Ballet gave me life, and it gave me something to look back upon, to say- "I accomplished this". Its fantastic exericse even if it looks so simple-- it really isn't. Karen is an awesome teacher. She's not any of those stereotypical ballet teachers- strict and all. She makes dancing fun and enjoyable for everyone of all ages. For the younger classes, older dancers demonstrate so the little ones can follow along. Older classes get to pull out the middle barre to see yourself better (in the mirror). Karen isn't too strict either, so she's not going to be one of those instructors you evny. In the summertime, Karen teaches a Variations class, where you can learn dances from Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, etc. In the wintertime, the Sugar Plum Fairy comes out to dance for the young ones, and signs their shoe! Karen also has several adult classes in the morning! Many dancers have tried various ballet schools around the area, and they find Karen's San Carlos School of Ballet to be one of the most friendly ballet schools in the Bay. Not to mention, Brooklyn Ballet School comes to recruit students every year for a summer ballet program. Great experience!

This is a review for the business practice not the dance class…read more My daughter wants to try ballet so I contacted the business via its website for a trial class and mrs Briones never once told us there is a trial fee. But after the trial when we decided to join another ballet school, I kept getting an email about $20 fee. All other Ballet schools in the area offer a free trial class and to me it is a standard for a good Business. If I would have known there was a fee, I wouldn't even try. On their website there is an offer for Free boy trial class so it is totally not transparent. The business clearly doesn't disclose its business policies to its customers. Please on the watch out for their shady practices. Update So I saw a reply message from the owner explaining why there was a trial fee (which again wasn't communicated at all from the beginning via email). But what made me even more upset was when she/he stated "we saved your spot for months"...OMG that was totally incorrect!!! Luckily all my communications with them was via email so I had smt to go back to.

If you are considering a dance school, it is important to know that even children dancing in ASB's beginning levels are given top-notch instruction. Many of the teachers are current or former dancers from widely-respected professional companies. Children studying at Ayako School of Ballet have the opportunity to dance with professional guest dancers in annual full-length Nutcracker performances as well as in end-of-year events. Competition activities are also available. Every ASB student is taught with care and artistry. As a result, Ayako School of Ballet's dancers are some of the best. They continue to win national awards and many students are accepted into leading summer dance programs, university dance programs and dance companies throughout the United States and abroad. We are proud to be associated with such a fine school. Ayako School of Ballet is a wonderful, welcoming environment.

She started with only ballet where even the smallest ballerinas learn the importance of becoming confident dancers with a strong foundation in technique. She has since joined tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and even tried some contemporary. The teachers are kind and innovative and are loved by their students. Even through Covid-19, everyone at the studio has gone out of their way to make sure our students continue to grow as dancers. Our classes may look a little different right now, but I have watched my daughter get stronger and persevere. Liv DanceArts, Professional Ballet School has become a part of our family over the last three years. I cant say enough about Miss Yoira and her newly opened school. If you're looking for a ballet…read moreschool to start off your child in this art, or maybe enhance what was already taught to her/you in other schools really truly Bravissimo offers it all - Miss Yoira, she teaches with her heart and truly wants the best for her students. Even before opening up this studio, my daughter had the opportunity to take weekly private lessons with Miss Yoira and her mom, Mme Amparo Brito, and father, Mr Jorge Esquivel. And the once a week training she received produced such amazing results. (By the way, in case you dont know who these are - if you google them, you will find they are mainstays of the ballet world - both her parents and Miss Yoira!!!!) Now with her very own studio and a regular program to avail of that is structured more days of the week, I have no doubt of even brighter advancement. No doubt, Bravissimo is a treasure in the bay area, one I am afraid will not be a secret for too long. More power to Bravissimo....
