Even with being a teenager, he is now spending time with us and engages in topics. I love it! The therapists were able to do family sessions with us. They provided us with skills and educated us on my kid's diagnosis. The therapist educated us on CBT and DBT and how those skills work. Even I use them. We have seen our kid improve at school and home. The director has always made time for us. She has gone above and beyond. She has made herself available at all times of the day. We had a crisis one night and she stayed until 10pm deescalating, giving recommendations and even called in the morning to see how we were doing. They care about us. Gisela at the front is without a doubt the best! She got us in that same day! She is sweet and patient with us during the intake process. 5/5 would recommend. What I love the most is that my child is able to go even after graduating! They have alumni group every Wednesday and my kid looks forward to going each week. He continues to learn skills, processes things very different and he is able to communicate his emotions. Beyond happy with the services provided at Aspire.

I had an…read moreout-of-control four year old daughter and a marriage I wasn't sure I could stay in, plus a lot of personal issues, and just felt so lost. Upon walking into her office I felt so much hope. Teri just has such a good "energy" about her. She is such a pleasant person, and so wise, and you can tell she really and truly cares. She helped me get to the real issues that were preventing me from setting good boundaries with my daughter and helped me and approach parenting in a much more effective (and still loving and gentle) way. She helped me with my own personal issues tremendously. She took so much extra time to understand our family dynamics as a whole so she could help with everything. Eventually I asked to switch to couples counseling to work on my marriage, because I knew that if I liked Teri this much, my husband would too and that she could really help us. I am pleased to say that my hunch was right. She was truly a miracle worker once the couples counseling started. My husband was extremely hesitant to do counseling, to the point that I actually had to threaten divorce to get him in the office. I begged him to just try a few sessions just to see if it could help us. He admitted after the very first session that he really, really liked her. He had been afraid that it would now be TWO women yelling at him for his issues (me plus the therapist) and instead she made him feel so heard, so understood, so loved. She literally saved our marriage. She helped us fix things without blaming one person or the other. It has been SO much better since we started seeing her. I can truly say that Teri transformed our entire family of three so that it is a ton more functional and loving. I'm not done seeing her yet (I thought I was... things became so good I took a few months off) and when I came back after taking a break because new issues came up, she was there with welcoming open arms and jumped right into helping us again. Like I said I am so glad I found her. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Most therapists that you speak to shy away from "homework" in therapy but Alice is pretty good at pinpointing what work needs to be done and has you address it and that approach makes you feel like you are really working at your problems. The facility itself is nice enough, I have attached some pictures of the small waiting room and the offices itself are nice and calming. Overall it's a great place and works with Kaiser insurance.
