I've had the privilege of working alongside with Michael and have been consistently impressed by his presence and approach. His way of engaging these topics feels both thoughtful and accessible, allowing clients to explore complex ideas without feeling overwhelmed. What also sets him apart is his creativity. He approaches each client as an individual, tailoring his methods in flexible and imaginative ways that support meaningful progress. Some people you meet simply leave a lasting impression, and working with Michael (S.) as my fellow MFT trainee allowed me to see both his professionalism and his heart. He cares deeply about the people he works with and consistently strives to become a better clinician and human being. Our conversations often went beyond work, dipping into philosophy, depth psychology, and what it means to live a meaningful life, and I always left those conversations feeling challenged in the best possible way. Michael is thoughtful, insightful, and deeply genuine. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a therapist who brings both intellect and compassion into the therapy room. read more

Bottom line up front: If you're considering neuropsychological testing for a child, I strongly recommend Dr. John Danial. I was originally referred to a different clinic to test my child for ADHD and autism. Their website was beautiful and modern, but then I saw that they only tested children for ADHD and autism. Red flag. I didn't want testing that only looked for problems. ("If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.") Everything has tradeoffs, and I wanted to know my child's strengths, too. With Simi Psychological Group (SPG) and Dr. John Danial, it was all green flags: 1. SPG's website showed their neuropsychological testing included "gifted testing", which revealed that they don't focus narrowly on specific problems; they look for strengths. 2. In our introductory call, Dr. Danial conveyed a reluctance to officially diagnose children under 7 years old with ADHD because that label can follow them for life and define their identity. This awareness of downside risks showed me that Dr. Danial is careful and thoughtful. 3. Given our unfamiliarity with neuropsychological testing and what it entailed, Dr. Danial welcomed us to stay in the room during the tests. I was able to sit in the room with headphones and read a book. 4. Dr. Danial is amazing with kids. He's patient, makes children comfortable, and figures out multiple ways to work with your specific kid. It went so well that now I want to be tested, too. And this is where I'll go when I do. read more

I enjoy my therapists so much! My personal experience has been favorable and I have really enjoyed working with my counterpart. Her amount of guidance, wisdom and patience has helped me so much in my personal journey. I couldn't say enough nice things other than highly recommending if you are not sure. The backend is where I have found flaws with SPG. Their communication can be poor and lack of follow up can be concerning. Going to average my score up and be nice with a 4. Thank you! read more

Lindsay is great! Easy to talk to and friendly. She makes it feel like you've known her forever and her ability to tune into what you need to hear to heal. You can tell she is actually listening as she recalls details from previous sessions and can reintegrate it into current conversations. Everything feels like having a casual conversation with a friend but the way she helps me reflect on things and think about a situation from alternative viewpoints. As a black woman, I appreciate I can discuss certain aspects of my experience with her that while she may not have the lived experience, she seems to understand, empathize and listen without making the rest of the conversation weird or hyper focused on race when I'm just mentioning it for context or in a passing manner.
