Bottom line up front: If you're considering neuropsychological testing for a child, I strongly recommend Dr. John Danial. I was originally referred to a different clinic to test my child for ADHD and autism. Their website was beautiful and modern, but then I saw that they only tested children for ADHD and autism. Red flag. I didn't want testing that only looked for problems. ("If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.") Everything has tradeoffs, and I wanted to know my child's strengths, too. With Simi Psychological Group (SPG) and Dr. John Danial, it was all green flags: 1. SPG's website showed their neuropsychological testing included "gifted testing", which revealed that they don't focus narrowly on specific problems; they look for strengths. 2. In our introductory call, Dr. Danial conveyed a reluctance to officially diagnose children under 7 years old with ADHD because that label can follow them for life and define their identity. This awareness of downside risks showed me that Dr. Danial is careful and thoughtful. 3. Given our unfamiliarity with neuropsychological testing and what it entailed, Dr. Danial welcomed us to stay in the room during the tests. I was able to sit in the room with headphones and read a book. 4. Dr. Danial is amazing with kids. He's patient, makes children comfortable, and figures out multiple ways to work with your specific kid. It went so well that now I want to be tested, too. And this is where I'll go when I do. read more

I enjoy my therapists so much! My personal experience has been favorable and I have really enjoyed working with my counterpart. Her amount of guidance, wisdom and patience has helped me so much in my personal journey. I couldn't say enough nice things other than highly recommending if you are not sure.
