April made super cocktails and we learned about a new drink that she said would make us ten feet tall, so I had a few and felt at least 16 feet tall. What a beautiful person to know and be around. Very positive vibes. The food was good, the staff were friendly and didn't mind getting my butt whipped on the pool table. When it came to service however, it was severely lacking. Slow, understaffed and rude. I like to look at how a restaurant or bar's higher staff treat their employees. Bar Fontaine's managing staff should be VERY ashamed. I heard management tell off a server and bartender for making a very basic mistake and when I asked them how they liked working there, they simply replied "if I could do it over I would." According to them, the management is super nice to the customers but not to the employees constantly starting drama and making it difficult for an employee to keep their job. The head chef is also apparently a real a-hole and says inappropriate suggestive comments to their female staff as well, the server was telling me. When I was walking out of the hotel on the last day of my stay I encountered one of the managers and talked to them to see how they would treat me. It was an older woman with glasses. She treated me like an old friend which normally I would have enjoyed but this time I was absolutely disgusted. Just from what I was told, I will not be giving service to them again and will not stay at the hotel.
