We were told that this shop was the original that created the famous limoncello that Capri is known for today, and the flavors of their limoncello were unreal! Fresh juices, perfectly balanced with sugar and finely crushed ice made for a true refreshing drink. We also tried some of their sorbets, and selected the Lemon and Watermelon from their vast selection. Again, the quality here is unmatched by anywhere else we've tried in our lives. We were pleasantly surprised by this unassuming roadside stand off the beaten path. The workers here are hard-working and friendly. They spoke some English, which made it easier for us to order. If we ever visit Capri again, we'll for sure come back here!

I ordered the hazelnut and vanilla with whipped cream and candied hazelnuts on up. The brioche was so soft. The gelato was creamy and not overly sweet. Their delizie al limone, or lemon delight, was absolute AMAZING. If you like citrus... this is for you. The cake was soft like a little cloud. It's topped with a lemon vanilla cream. They have around 30 delicious, fresh flavour to choose from and every week or so the flavours cange and rotate. Turco is so well established people come from all over to sample it's ice creamy delights. My favourite all time flavour is Nociotella. A hazelnut ice cream with generous swirls of Nutella. It just unbelievably good. Turco often try out some quirky and experimental flavours. Last time I was there they had a "Welcome to the South" flavour which was fig and pistachio and it was delicious. The "Smurf" flavour was a bit of a mystery however, although, it was Smurf blue I suppose, but I had no idea what it was meant to taste like. Turco also functions as a bar and so you can sip a wee cocktail or espresso if you don't fancy an ice cream. It seems to be open all night so you can get your ice cream fix what ever the time!
