My children began their journey at FMS as Kindergarteners…read more They are currently in middle and high school, respectively. Located on a beautiful vast campus, FMS offers a unique and nurturing environment that encourages students to grow and thrive. With a focus on Quaker values, the school emphasizes the importance of respect, empathy, and social responsibility, providing students with a strong moral foundation that will serve them well throughout their lives. Another key aspect of the school is its commitment to diversity and inclusivity. The school celebrates the diversity of its students, faculty, and staff, and provides a safe and welcoming environment for all. As a mother of bi-racial children, it is of the utmost importance that our children feel safe, and well-respected. Especially at a place where they spend the majority of their time. Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion are reflected in the school's curriculum, which is designed to promote cross-cultural understanding, empathy, and respect for differences. In addition to its academic programs, FMS also offers a range of community service opportunities that encourage students to give back to their community and develop a sense of social responsibility. From volunteering at local charities to participating in environmental conservation projects, students are given the chance to make a positive impact on the world around them. If you're looking for a school that will help your child grow into a confident, compassionate, and socially responsible individual, then Friends Meeting School is most definitely worth considering.

Where to begin.... 1st there is favoritism. The kids from wealthy families get special treatment…read moreand their bad behavior gets overlooked. Kids call teachers by first name which is weird and doesn't show respect. My daughter had a teacher who made sexual comments to her and when it was addressed with The head of school no disciplinary action was taken. In fact the teacher was presented with an award in front of my child at graduation. Terrible!!! The same teacher also gave another student the finger and that was also reported. No disciplinary action was taken. What are we teaching children when this behavior is allowed especially in a Quaker school. I would never recommend this school. Safety should be the number 1 priority and clearly the school is more concerned about their reputation than the students. On a positive note there are some teachers there that are very good.

They will say something like "I think something wrong with your child medically. May be teething, ear infection etc...I have 30 yrs experience I know what I'm talking about". The owner told me this 3 times and I took my son to doctor 3 times and his doctor said nothing is wrong. He's just having terrible 2. Also, owner is rude, inconsiderate and uncaring- told my wife to move her car and buckle my son after! Wtf...child safety! She parked there because there was no parking left and it was raining. She ran out in the rain and demanded her to move her car knowing my wife is heavily pregnant at the time. My Christ sake! There was no sign of "no parking" and not like she was gonna park more than 30 mins! The rudeness! Biggest mistake i ever made. This place just wants your $$...should not be in daycare business!!! Oh also, don't step on the grass because she would let her dog shit all over the place! Disgusting

I would never recommend this place, This has been the most stressful and unprofessional childcare…read morefacility that I've dealt with BY FAR! Let's start with the OWNER given HIMSELF a 5 star review!! He is such a joke !!! My child is 18 months and was put out of daycare ( I mean really, they told me that my child was "suspended" for 2 days because he was left UNATTENDED and bit another child, and then told me that he could not come back). I am an essential healthcare employee, and to find childcare during a pandemic is super stressful!! After, they told me that my child couldn't come back, the manager of the facility had the audacity to put up a fight with me about my refund!!! This place is horrible. My child has never had biting issues before, he gets to this place and he discovers biting (WE) both him and I are punished for this "normal" behavior, I finally find him a new facility and BOOM NO MORE BITING!!!! They are understaffed, have VERY poor communication skills, and penalize the family for normal toddler behavior. Please NEVER send your child(ren) to this place. They have no idea on how to care for your child!!!
