Coventry University car park
(1 review)
This is my brother's go-to Car Park whenever he has to go into Coventry city. It's a bit difficult…read moreto find, as the previous/ original entrance has changed, due to the construction going on around it. Basically, it's located right adjacent to Pool Meadows bus exchange. So half of the parking places are underneath this road, which I reckon would be a great spot to park in the snow, as it would offer some protection from the elements for the car. Otherwise it's your normal Pay & Display car park and the only time it's free is Sunday evening from 6pm to Monday 8am. Yelp 149/ 2019
West Orchards Car Park

West orchards car park is a large car park in the city centre!…read moreIts accessible from one of two different ways. However since the new ikea has been built traffic flow problems are more than apparent. Usually cuasing long queues to get in. Once in you have 5 levels to choose from. Once parked you leave the carpark and come out inside west orchards itself. Each exit door having a pay machine for when you return. This is very convenient! Exiting the car park could be made easier as there are two lanes which immediately merge into one after the barrier raises. There is no real right of way. SO a bit of give and take is required here. If you parked on the highest level you can havea bit of fun on the way down the spiral decent. If your anything like my uncle passengers are usually stuck to the far side of the car due to the force at which you go round. Quite funny really.LOL Good car park with reasonable charges too. But if your too long like in any car park it can sting your wallet!
A safe carpark, and average prices. It's pay on exit which is handy as you dont have a time limit…read more Plenty of spaces on lots on under-cover floors. All the doors lead straight to the main shopping centre in Coventry. The spiral entrance is also fun for everyone in the car, and used to be the highlight of my visit to town when I was little!

It is a very convienient place to shop and links to many other places too, it is in the centre of town so easy to get to and close to bus stops too.

It's as though they didn't realise any travelling individuals would need pickup or dropping off…read more Total mess of no waiting zones to drive in and get passengers here, despite the fact trains are frequently late. Very very poorly designed with reality clearly not a priority. Oodles of wasted and ineffective space. Clowns that designed this should try actually using it. Don't get me started on the new carparks Road exit... they had one job

Downstairs is a Bens…read morecookies where I have never seen anyone go, Wilkinsons, Francis and Gaye Jewellers, a forever changing sports shop and Waterstones. Upstairs there seems to be lots of space and not a lot of shops. In fact, I couldn't even tell you what was up there, so seems a bit of a waste of space. The toilets are grim, often flooded, but they were the first place I ever saw the Dyson airblade hand driers, which redeem themselves slightly. Normally would only come here to go to Wilkos. As others have said, blocks out what would be a lovely view of the cathedral and church and some of Coventry's remaining lovely architecture. Maybe not the best location.
