A relatively new development in the city centre, the Lower Precinct is not really a distinctive shopping centre in it's own right, it is more just a part of the city centre as a whole. The shopping centre has blue glass lights in the floor, glass ceilings and a tiled mural at one end. There are two storeys of stores, most of which are chains; H&M, H Samuel, Lush, TJ Hughes and an extremely large New Look store to name but a few. In the centre of the shopping centre is a round cafe, which many locals fought to save despite its general ugliness. This is a fairly pricy sandwich shop, which looks out on shops, shops and more shops no matter where you seat yourself. Nice. read more
