I got great insurance through my job and was trying to get into new hope. What they don't tell you is that there is an admission fee of $1600 that is over and above what they charge your insurance for. I told them I didn't have 1600 dollars just lying around and I don't know any other addict in Modesto that can afford that on their own. But if you don't have the 1600, you can't get into new hope they told me. What good is having good insurance if you can't come up with the 1600 blood money they want, making it almost impossible to get in and it stopped me from being able to accomplish what I had set out to do. New hope is close to my house so is where I felt would be good for me to get into. But like I had asked them at the time, is anyone even in new hope? And did they get charged this 1600 fee? Cause it doesn't state it on their website at all. And I was begging them please I took out two weeks vacation time from my job to be able to do this and there was nothing they could do for me. Even with great medical insurance. Didn't matter. It took me over a year to acquire that many hours of vacation time. I started crying my eyes out thinking can I ever get off these drugs that unfortunately I was dumb enough to get addicted to. New Hope makes it seem like they will help, but only if the price is right. This is my experience with New Hope. I hope your experiences are better than mine. I was basically told nothing was wrong with me, which is hilarious because I have a affirmed diagnosis, I've been in treatment for 2 years. This treatment started after a month stay in an institution and psych ward visit after psych ward visit years prior to my stay at the institution. Despite explaining all of this and that my episodes are super intense and only happen when I'm in a triggering setting, I was basically told to breathe for 2 minutes a day and given a movie recommendation. Then when I had to reschedule my appointment because of work I tried online as he directed and it didn't work. So I reached out to him, never received a call back. Texted him and he finally responded, sending me the same internet link that didn't work in the first place. I made him aware of this and I was told to try again. When I made him aware that that helped nothing, I received no text back and no attempt at a rescheduling. I'm not looking for a friend, but man I'd like if my therapist could at least RECIPROCATE the scheduling process. I mean he must have a decent clientele if he's not worried about future appointments, I don't know WHO is funding this guy, but after the few months I saw him I can't see how anyone would stay. Nice guy overall horrible professional

Encompass Health has a beyond spectacular staff with knowledge of the newest developments in…read morephysical and speech therapy. The gym and exercise facility is first rate. Every piece of equipment that is used is sanitized immediately. When you ring your bedside call button the nurse comes in a timely manner and meds are delivered on time. We were told by doctor's hospital that my mother was not a candidate to qualify to go there while in fact she was. We questioned the system and called Encompass directly. Encompass had a representative in my mother's room at doctors within two hours pre-registering her. If you have the option to go to this facility, don't let them send you anywhere else!

Following my knee replacement, I stayed with Encompass for 6 days - what a difference those 6 days…read moredid for me towards my recovery!!! The nursing and aide staff were AMAZING. All very kind, patient and very helpful. The dietary/nutritional options were always very good. I would recommend Encompass to anyone needing help following surgery.

It was the same thing with Sutter when my primary care doctor left Sutter nobody notified and it was really hard to get in to have a new primary I went months and months without a primary I used to like Sutter but they are falling down for sure. They're not consumer friendly I don't believe so anymore.

I didn't take it personal, but rather, thought how professional and fair it was to her current patients to not overload herself. The doctor didn't apologize to me either, but frankly, I never thought she owed me one. Cut to now, and lucky for me, I called Dr. Goldman last week and she is, once again, taking on new patients. Can't wait to start.
