This doctor does not keep his patients' records unless it's about the dates of your visits. It would have been easier if he had let us know upfront that he couldn't provide us the records of my mother, but each time we asked for it, he was busy dodging the situation by giving us excuses such as "We've recently relocated our office so we'd have to rummage through our records to find it, but we'll find it and get back to you." He even LIED to us that he'd sent the records to our attorney when we visited his office in person to see what was going on. And when his receptionist returned our call to finally give us some kind of an answer, she instead asked us what my mother's initial condition was when she first came in, told us about the dates she received the treatment, and straight up refused to hold a mutual communication with us by telling us how "busy" she was due to the "patients lined up and waiting" in front of her. He also takes in patients when he hasn't fully sobered up from the alcohol he drank the night before. We could smell the alcohol at many of our visits. This whole place is a joke.

I'm only 28 years…read moreold but I've dealt with extreme chronic lower back pain, sciatica, hip pain (left & right), knee pain (left & right) and my shoulders as well. I was chronically tearing my LCL's and my meniscus to the point that I couldn't walk for 2 years and my primary care doctors gave up on me because they no longer knew what to do. My pain was so severe, from the sciatica and knee pain that I was even in a wheelchair for a couple years and completely lost my livelihood at a young age. Dr. Ken has done an amazing job setting realistic expectations for me in the beginning while still anchoring everything he told me in hope. My first appointment with him I almost canceled because my meniscus was torn again and I couldn't even make the walk from the parking lot to the office. But I am SO grateful that I fought through it and stayed consistent with my treatment just like Dr. Ken suggested. I've finally got my life back now and doing better and better after every visit. I thought my body would forever be messed up and my life would never be the same again but the help and support I received from here has literally been life changing. If you're on the fence about coming here... DO IT, because if it wasn't for my step of faith to show up here on the 1st appointment, then I'd still be in pain praying, hoping and wishing that this pain would go away while my answer was in front of me all along.

Fast forward a few years and I come across a video of Dr. Norm doing an adjustment on social media. I found him!!! Hurray! I quickly made an appointment, and his assistant explained that he usually does xrays before adjustments and since I was a prior patient, he might be ok with doing an adjustment on my first visit. Side note: I have been regularly seeing different chiropractors over the years, but none of them ever got the adjustment quite like Dr. Norm does. Dr. Norm is great, he talks you through all of the adjustments and what he is doing and gets results. My first adjustment with him after years of trying to find a replacement reminded me of why I am so happy to have found him again.

Complete X-Rays were done and evaluated and it clearly showed that my spine was way out of whack. Lower back curvature as well as more towards my neck was in need of adjustment. Paul clearly showed me where I was and where we wanted to be. After going to weekly appointments that included traction and adjustment, I was re-evaluated with another set of X-Rays. This time it showed improvement so I know we are on the right path to success. Pain down my legs has subsided (not completely gone yet) and I can stand for longer periods than before. Paul and his staff are great. You get a true sense that they care and are concerned about your well-being. I highly recommend seeing them if you have back issues.

Although I loved my old chiropractor, I really needed to see someone who was closer to where I live. My friend Meg referred me to Dr. Toyooka and I was sold once she told me you get a 40-minute massage AND adjustment for a $25 HMSA co-pay. I'm willing to try anything when full body massage is involved! First off, Dr. Toyooka is awesome! He's super mellow and he uses an activator to adjust you. If you're used to going to a chiropractor who uses a more traditional method, an activator might seem like it's not doing anything but I really love it! He even adjusts my jaw which is the best feeling ever! Usually I get my massage before my adjustment which helps loosen up my muscles. My only warning about the massage is: 1) The massage rooms are not your fancy spa experience. Expect a "homey" feel, kind of like going to your Aunty Gail's house in Pearl City. I know this sounds like a weird description, but you let me know how you'd describe it once you go there. 2) Not all masseuse are created equal and you'll have to try a few of them to find who you really like. Everyone is really nice, but my massage experience has definitely run the gamut of two to five star experiences. I finally found a woman I really enjoy massaging me and now I refuse to see anyone else. Since seeing Dr. Toyooka regularly and upping my workout game, I'm super happy to report I rarely suffer from debilitating back pain. And when I feel my body aching I am quick to schedule an appointment to take care of my health.
