Yes they are open but no lighting???
    David R.

The lights on the outside of the building have been out for days and it looks like it is closed...it should be. They were out of many basic items such as milk and cigarettes and just scary with limited lighting. Employees seem to change every week and I do not blame them for leaving.

If you're looking for a place where you can literally walk in hungry and leave planning your next…read morevisit before you hit the parking lot -- that's East Market. This place is a food lover's playground. The vibe is energetic but relaxed, with a collection of food booths serving everything from comfort eats to globally inspired dishes. It's the kind of spot where everyone in your group can order from a different vendor and still sit together -- which I love. First up for me was Saba's, and wow... I ordered the Mediterranean brisket cigars. These were smoked brisket, shredded super fine and infused with BBQ and Tennessee whiskey, wrapped in a wonton wrapper, then deep fried to crispy perfection. They were served with a cilantro cream dipping sauce that took them over the top. The outside had that perfect crunch, and the inside was smoky, savory, and just a little sweet from the whiskey infusion. Absolutely incredible. One of those bites where you pause and go, "Okay... this is special." Then I headed over to Buck City Sammies and ordered the Bodega sandwich -- and let me tell you, this sandwich does not play around. Wagyu beef grilled and shredded, layered with aged sharp cheddar and American cheese, topped with garlic confit sauce, lettuce, tomato, and red onions on a baguette. The beef was rich and flavorful, the cheese melt was on point, and that garlic confit sauce tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was balanced, hearty, and ridiculously delicious. East Market isn't just a place to eat -- it's a place to explore. Multiple booths, huge flavors, and something new to try every time. If you're in Columbus and love great food, this is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for round two.

Let Jess Tell It…read more East Market | Franklin Park, Columbus Price per person: $15-30 Wait time for a table: No table service -- grab a seat wherever you can Noise level: Moderate to loud (it's a food hall, so expect a buzz) Seating options: Communal tables, bar seating, high-tops, outdoor patio Vegetarian options: Yes -- several stalls offer veggie choices Dietary restrictions: Vendor-dependent; some gluten-free options available Parking: Free lot + street parking (fills quickly on weekends or event days) Kid-friendly: Yes, but keep an eye on them -- very open and active Wheelchair accessible: Yes, wide walkways & accessible seating East Market stays booked and busy in the best way -- a true Columbus-style food hall where you can wander, browse, and let your appetite pick the direction. Even though I grabbed my actual meal next door at Local Cantina Trolley Barn, I still walked through to get the vibe, take in the energy, and check out who's serving what. Vendors you'll spot inside: * Creole 2 Geaux -- Cajun/Creole comfort dishes * Just Chicken -- crispy chicken sandwiches & tenders * Koso -- ramen, noodles, and rice bowls * The Pitt BBQ -- smoked meats and sides * Hisham's Bakery -- Middle Eastern pastries * Reverie -- cocktails & spirits * The Plant Gays, Poke Bowl, and dessert spots like The Cheesecake Girl (Perfect for groups that can't agree on anything.) Good-to-know for first-timers: * There's no single line -- each vendor has its own counter. * You'll order your food, grab your tray, and then find a seat anywhere in the building. * The bar inside stays active, especially evenings and weekends. * On busy nights, seats turn over fast but not instantly -- be ready to do a little "table scouting." * The building itself is renovated with a historic trolley barn feel -- lots of natural light and exposed brick. * Great place to bring out-of-towners: you can sample multiple Columbus spots without driving all over the city. Even without eating inside this time, it reminded me why East Market works: It solves the "What are we eating?" standoff better than almost anywhere else in the city. Save this if you want a go-to Columbus spot with options, drinks, and an easy setup for groups. Question for the community: What vendor are you loyal to in here? I'll try them on my next actual eating visit.

It's nice to be able to have somewhere to sit and eat your food truck food inside. There's also some cool local artists hanging there. If you haven't been to the area recently you might be confused. It's located in the Franklinton neighborhood. This area has had a reputation of being crime infested and trashy. It's gotten much better recently. The area is home to some up and coming businesses that are reshaping it and making it safer. If you're looking for the hall, it's located in the 400 West Rich building. This shares a building with a gathering of local artists and Strongwater bar and restaurant. It's a good way to meet new people and make connections. The people you meet are very interesting so to say. I like visiting local businesses so Dinin' Hall is a good way to do it. It features some of the best food trucks in the city. The area isn't the best but it has gotten much better and will improve thanks to concepts like this.

I love food trucks but it can be a hassle tracking them down sometimes. Having a central location is a great way to try out different ones without traipsing all over Columbus. I went on the 2nd day and they were still working out some minor kinks but I thought the execution was close to perfect. Ordering is easy, paying inside is easy (they accept credit card, yay! but prefer cash), and getting your food is easy. You can also take your food to go. I love the look of this place as well. Very minimalist and well-designed. Not surprising since the husband & wife team that own it are architects. I had the chance to chat with the wife (didn't catch her name) for a few minutes and she was so sweet! Nothing better than supporting local businesses run by awesome people. Other things I loved: delicious, free cookies in celebration of the first week and all the items they sold at the register. I think I saw chocolate dipped oranges, pattycake cookies, macarons, and thunder kiss coffee. Snacks for the drive home!

This is a clean, neat very safe feeling convenience store with fairly reasonable prices and a nice selection. The Pakistani food is a definite 5 star for a convenience store and would be a 4+ star in its own right. The proprietor Nadeem is very friendly and keeps the store neat and clean. The Pakistani food he serves is delicious. It's very spicy, warm and rich in flavor. The samosas are outstanding and the Tandoori style chicken and sides are rich in flavor. The food is very fresh for a convenience store environment. Food is served to go, but there are tables down the hall and outside. Definitely give this place a try.
