If you want quality and honesty, look elsewhere. Our 89 home Co-op entered into a 12 month contract with Tim. 30+ homeowners signed a petition to terminate his contract due to complete lack of work ethic and his lack of knowledge. We saw zero value in the large contract that he was paid. We even allowed him to exercise a 30 day termination notice that was written into the contract. Tim chose to except our months payment, but chose to ghost our community. He took the money and ran. Laughing in our faces. Our contractor liaison requested that Tim Farris complete cleaning up a few piles of brush and branches that he promised to do in the fall of 2025. He didn't even have the integrity to respond to the request. The guy took two months of contract payments and gave our community nothing in return. Please don't get fooled by this horrible contractor. You will regret it.

I paid $13,000 - for 8 trees and Derek had to be the most unfriendly, disrespectful and rude businessman I have ever met! The purpose of the tree removal was 2-fold. It was for safety around the home and also to provide LOTS of firewood! He knew this. He never introduced himself - I had to ask who was Derek when I went out to greet all the guys that showed up. Even once he raised his hand he still did not come over to me. I had to go to him and extend my hand to introduce myself. We had not met as this is my daughter & son-in-law's home. I came up from Virginia for this as I was the payor of the services, which he also knew. Derek started cutting the trees as we (my son in law & I were home) expected, including limbs of good size. Then things changed and we saw a number of pieces going into the chipper (easy for them as all they had to do with that was shoot them into the woods). I went out a total of 4 times to ask him to NOT chip those bigger limbs as they were such great pieces of firewood and even asked if they could just cut to pile or leave in on the ground by the tree. His answer repeatedly?: "IF IT FITS IN THE CHIPPER IT GOES IN THE CHIPPER!" Let me reiterate I was paying him $13,000!! I cannot begin to tell you how infuriating he was and what a great disappointment due the amount of firewood we lost due to his lack of giving a damn what the customer wanted. HORRIBLE WORK - FABRICATED INVOICING - INCOMPETENT OWNER/CEO (G. C.)…read more DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They recently changed their name from "Make A Difference Landscaping" to "The Difference Landscapes;" new name, same owner. I unfortunately hired MADL and it was an unprofessional disaster from the start. They have ZERO project management and oversight, ZERO accountability, and ZERO integrity! Not to mention the "work" they do is sub-par at best. 1. The employees threw their lunch and snack trash into my yard and tried to bury it as they worked. (My home office overlooks the work site and I saw and took pictures of everything). 2. They dumped scrap rebar, angle iron, random plastic, wires, broken glass and ceramic tile ... and my personal favorite, a child's shoe into my yard when they delivered "screened loam." 3. I had to explain to their workers the correct way to lay stone and allow them to use my tools because they didn't bring their own. 4. I had to re-do several of their contracted tasks myself because it was not done correctly ... but the CEO tried to charge me for work that I did, despite knowing they did it wrong. 5. One task was estimated to take 3-days at a cost of $4,100. The invoice showed the work was done in two-days, but the CEO still tried to charge me for three days of work, even when I pointed out the discrepancy to him. 6. On the same task, I was one of the people working because they were SO BEHIND schedule, yet the CEO still tried to charge me for work that I did. 7. I was able to accurately document and prove that the CEO overcharged me $3,598.99 for work that I personally did and show that his record keeping and accounting was wrong. 8. I was able to document and prove that the CEO attempted to charge me $4500 for non-contracted work, while lying to the Better Business Bureau about what transpired. I have over 35 counts (physical and administrative) of documented errors made by this company, to include every single aspect of the final invoice being wrong. The CEO has no integrity or morals, he only cares about money in his pocket - he cannot be trusted! If you get STUCK with these clowns, take before-during-after pictures of the project, annotate what days people show up, how long they are there and what they are working on. It will be worth your effort, because at the end of the job, they will have no idea what happened when, but will invoice you to get the money they think they deserve. The CEO freely admitted to me that they did not keep accurate records, yet he didn't think twice about fabricating an invoice. Thankfully I had all of the documentation I am recommending to you, and was able to prove everything he claimed as falsified. I had to pay two additional landscaping companies over $10,000 to either fix or completely re-do what Make A Difference Landscaping screwed up. They know how to "Make a Difference," but definitely not in a positive way! I'm shocked they are still in business...

I mean, of all the companies I've seen that definitely aren't doing well, these gentlemen all really care about the property and take pride in their work. It's extremely clear. I was outside one day while they came, and they asked if they could help mow my clippings. I mean, you just cannot get better than these guys!! Most landscapers are rough-hewn and on some things... These guys are great, have great and professional demeanors, and are amazing!!! 100% go with them.
