I quote: "This is not just a school, this is a family?" Considering how twistedly sick and dramatic the owner/manager is there is no reason for the word "family" to be in her vocabulary or even escape her toxic, poisonous mouth! When you consider someone family or yourself to be part of a family, it's not all about you. It's also about the people around you.Who goes around spreading gossip and slander just to better themselves? Especially in front of other parents, students and teachers. For a "businesswoman", this individual doesn't know the first thing about running a successful business. If she did, she wouldn't get stuck in her feelings and damn her own business to its end. What kind of a business hires teachers, employees even just to "fire" them for unknown reasons or because the owner is stuck in her feelings. Especially after the parents and students have made a connection with said teachers? I mean really? The parents, teachers and students have a life outside of the hell hole that is Tunes and Taps, for the devil is burning it to the ground with her negative vibes, and slander.
The manager gets stuck in her feelings about employees not attending her annual Tunes and Taps picnic, or when students and teachers do not partake in her music recital. That's when everything goes to hell and your officially on her "hate" list. A poor way of showing her feelings are hurt by trying to hurt others. Posting negative comments on social media about a teacher or a student, or calling and harassing families of students and teachers cussing them out. Very unprofessional
What kind of parent would allow their child to take lessons from a music teacher who spends a great majority of the students half hour lesson talking about politics amongst other adult issues? Not to mention using vulgar language in front of and a around the younger students.
The manager is a slithering snake. She does not care about her students or their will being she only cares about the money coming in. That's not a family, you're not part of her "family", you're just a business transaction.
I myself was a student at Tunes and Taps, and I requested a certain teacher at a certain time due to other obligations. My time with tunes and Taps however was cut short because the manager was stuck in her feelings and got rid of the teacher I had. Mind you, I had just started lessons on July 23rd, 2018. So, I had paid for at least 8-10 lessons in advance only to attend two of them before my teacher was let go. So when I found out the manger let my teacher go, I requested to get my money back because I had paid for 10 lessons with a certain teacher at a certain time. I wasn't about to put up with this snake trying to slither her way out of this one. She may think she can push her students around and the parents who kiss her ass and don't speak up, but it's not happening with me. I asked for my money back she said no, twice. I contacted 3-1-1 they forwarded me to the Chicago police department. The officer informed me I could take her to small claims court, due to the fact I didn't sign a contract agreeing to her terms and conditions. I also contacted the BBB and I contacted my bank. My bank informed me that as long as I didn't sign anything and since I had proof of my payments via my bank account and my tunes and taps payment information that I would automatically get my money back no questions asked. Plus tunes and taps couldn't provide them with proof of a signed contract. That's right, because there wasn't one. For a businesswoman, the manager doesn't have all her tools in her tool box, I think she's missing a whole lot of screws. If you ask me, if she were a tool she'd be a flathead, her head is as flat as her voice. Now you as a manager she would think from a legal standpoint and draw up contracts. Anyone can type up a few rules, terms and conditions. That's the easy part. If you did not sign a document agreeing to such terms and conditions, with your signature on it with the date, a business cannot refuse to give a refund just because they don't want to. Reasoning needs to be in writing. There has to be a legit and understandable reason not to. If anything the "manager" is the one who needs to get her brain rewired. I really shouldn't even be classifying this individual as a manager. She couldn't manage to put her beaver looking dentures in without a nursing aid's assistance. Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls,
I urge whoever reads this review, proceed with caution. Tunes and Taps May look warm, welcoming and inviting on the outside, but on the inside it's filled with a negative, slanderous, greedy, inconsiderate, toxic waste of an owner. If negative vibes is what drives you, by all means come at your own risk. On the other hand, if positivity, encouragement, respect and comfort is what you're seeking for you or your child's musical abilities. Run! Take your money and run far away from Tunes and Taps. read more
