Just three weeks earlier, I had spent nearly $4,000 in California having the turbocharger repaired, only to have the truck go into limp mode while I was in Oregon. Bona Fide got me fixed up and back on the road. They were also able to clear some incredibly annoying dashboard codes that I'd previously been told only the dealer could clear. But what really earned my loyalty happened eight months later. I started hearing a whistle when using the exhaust brake and called Bona Fide. They told me it was likely a failing gasket and, without any prompting from me, said that if it turned out to be one of the gaskets they'd replaced in December, they would repair it under warranty at no charge. I brought the truck back, and sure enough, it was one of those gaskets. They stood behind their work and repaired it at absolutely no charge. No excuses, no trying to convince me it was something else, and no surprise bill. They simply honored their warranty and did what they said they would do. That's how you earn a customer. Bona Fide is knowledgeable, capable, and--just as importantly--honest. They've earned my trust and my loyalty. As long as I can get my truck to Roseburg, I'm not taking it anywhere else for repairs. Highly recommended. Steve at Bona Fide is truly an awsome human being.

We had our braking and lighting system installed on our Jeep about a 1.5 years ago for towing behind our motorhome at what we thought was a reputable business in Auburn, CA. Ever since then, our Jeep has put out various codes from "Park Light Out", to our door locks not operating, etc. They denied any wrongdoing, so we have lived with this annoyance all this time. Our dealership on the Jeep would not even look at it since it was after-market even given we spent thousands for a warranty there. We will not being going back to either location in the future. When we left our home, only 10 miles into our 6+ hour drive, with Jeep in tow, my husband notices smoke coming out of the left taillight of the Jeep! Wow, we both panicked a bit, of course! We thought our trip was over and we could be looking at some major repairs! We managed to turn off the running lights and the smoke stopped, so we continued on our journey. Then, we got another code that the right rear taillight is out! So much drama on our vacation we did not need! We managed to get to our destination and came across Hy Tech Auto Repair within minutes of the Seven Feathers RV Park. Bill convinced us that he could repair this, and he was RIGHT! He fixed the entire mess that was caused by the previous installation and showed us a bucket full of wires that were not needed for the lights/brakes to work perfectly! Not only did he fix it perfect and UNDER estimate, he came to our site to check on it before we left and offered to come back the next day! Thankfully, we did not need him to, but that is what good old fashioned customer service is all about. Thank you Bill Dunlap! God bless you and yours!

He was also incredibly unprofessional from the moment I got there and was complaining about Medford the second I mentioned where I'd come from. He then took me back to look at the underside of my car repeatedly, saying things like, most people don't get to see the underside of their car. Also telling me what other shitty mechanics do that he doesn't do. Such BS. His wife showed up and when I was finally waiting to pay and leave she asked how it was. I said it wasn't professional. She seemed to relate initially and then said, everyone has a different opinion! This is funny, after his first negative comment, that's exactly what I had said to him. He however, had interrupted me several times and I stopped trying to communicate with him early on due to this. Next time, I will hold onto the skid plate until I get to the city.
