Inside its large and spacious with lots of different areas. There is the main structure with a 3 lane slide, a toddler section and a baby section. there is also 2 sports pitches with football and basketball, aswell as havin pushalongs and cars for little ones to play on. There are lots of seats and dining tables and offer excellent food at fairly cheap prices. There are toilets and thre is buzz to exit gates to keep children safe. This place is great fun, my 2 year old has no problems playing on the big structure, although i can imagine it gets very busy on weekends. They offer special promotions which include play and food and they also have sperate party rooms.

It's an excellent place for kids' parties, not least because they take particular care with the food. There are plenty of healthy options on the menu and they are presented in such a way that many kids will try them. You can pay extra if you want an entertainer (dressed as an animal) for the occasion. This place is not cheap -- but it's about the same price as other such facilities, and it's better than they are, so I would say it is good value. All in all -- an excellent place to go, and highly recommended.

There's a small-ish car park outside but all in all this is a good place to come and let off some steam on a wet afternoon.

The facilities are always very clean unlike the one in nearby blackburn that just smells like urine. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is great. Their childrens lunchbox meals are VERY good value for money and include fresh fruit which is a refreshing change. We also go to their christmas party every year which we have always found to be great and really good value. Overall top bananas is the best play area in the blackburn/darwen area by far and as for the person who stated in thier review they wouldnt leave their children unsupervised with the staff, who on earth would leave their children unsupervised anyway even at a party!!!.

I went on a Saturday and it was full of kids and parties so I'd say if you are over 15 to probably go one evening when there's less children there. There were 3 staff behind the reception desk, they avoided eye contact and none of them could be bothered to say hello or explain what the delay was. Very poor customer service. It's been like that for years though. The gym facilities are quite good but poorly maintained and not cleaned regularly. There is chewing gum in the cup holders. Wash your hands after using any equipment. If you pay twice the price and go to Bolton Arena, the staff greet you, chat and the machines are cleaned and maintained constantly.

After I cancelled my membership they continued to take money out of my account. It has taken almost 4 months to get my money back and then they are still saying they will not give me my full money back, which they have taken out of my account without my permission! In my line of work I would have given some form of compensation for the inconvenience because 4 months wait is ludicrous! Instead I am losing more money. I only live round the corner but would now willingly drive miles out of my way not to go to horwich leisure centre.

This is one of Bolton's most popular parks -- apparently there are over half a million visits a…read moreyear here. It's also one of Bolton's biggest, covering over 34 hectares. There are plenty of things to do -- a limited miniature railway offers train rides in the summer, there are some pleasant gardens (although they never seem to be in tip-top shape) and there is also an Animal World and Butterfly House -- effectively a free zoo! The kids' playground has kept our two (aged 3 and 5) amused for many an hour over the years. Parking is a bit limited -- if you can't get in the first car park there's a lesser-known one round the back (follow the road round to Barrow Bridge, a pretty little village worth a visit in its own right). All in all, a great place for the kids to let off steam.
