Moss Bank Park holds some good memories for me growing up. It is fantastic as a free day out for children and adults alike. They have a mini railway type thing which you can sit on and it goes round a small track. I haven't seen it operated in a long while thought so I am unsure if it still is in use. The best part about the park has to be the free butterfly house and small animal section. Anywhere else you would have to pay for this kind of attraction but it is free. The animals aren't huge but they have a few farmyard animals such as chickens, geese and they have some goats, several types of birds, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and some other animals. The butterfly enclosure allows you to be in the same room as free flying butterflies which are a lovely experience. The park also has some gardens but they have been left to decay a bit over the years and are not as well maintained as they used to be which is a shame as they used to be really lovely. The park also has a café and some decent sized children's playgrounds, sandpit. There is plenty of grass to play on and a golf course and Bowling Green, tennis courts nearby. All in all this is a park for everyone to enjoy. read more
