In our…read morearea, the only children's museum (located in Pasadena, CA) is double the price of this place, way run down compared to this place, and not nearly as clean as this place. We went here a few weeks ago during our holiday visit to my sister's place. This place is enormous and you could literally spend hours here without your kids getting bored regardless of what they're into. My kid's fav was probably the ball area and the echoing room. I went in the tape slide thing with him to start and have a few warnings about that thing lol. The only way not to slide backwards walking up the enormous incline the tubes are on is to go barefoot and ... gross lol. If you have a little one like me, esp one who is overly cautious on this sort of stuff and won't do it alone, be aware that you'll both get run over in that thing by kids on their own running around. My son could barely get inside without getting knocked over. The slide itself is really steep and goes super fast, so I wouldn't have wanted him to go down it alone. Needless to say, we only climbed around in that tape thing once lol. The place is crazy clean for being a giant play structure. The bathrooms were clean, too. The temp outside that day was cold AF, and they kept in comfy inside so you weren't sweating to death in winter clothing running around. I don't know what I thought was the coolest as an adult because truly, this place has so much to offer. Probably the echo room was the most neat to me because it was super interactive AND required little parent participation haha. My mom is in a wheelchair and she was able to get around in there just fine and was able to be safe off to the side, but still get to see everything perfectly well, so I appreciated that aspect a lot.

The second exhibit is a chronological history which is pretty good. The 1920s exhibit is what turned me off about the museum. The museum itself isn't large, but there is a wide array of information available here. There's a room dedicated to the Tulsa Race Massacre, another exhibit dedicated to Tulsa restaurants, a small gallery featuring some local art, and more. My favorite room featured lots of little knick-knacks, an informative digital reference option about the definition and history of lynching, as well as public health history. (Notably, this room also has a KKK member's cloak and hood; it has blood on its collar. Please tread carefully if this kind of exhibit is painful for you.) You could easily spend an hour or two here looking around and reading the vast array of history provided at this institution. The cost to attend for adults is $10 but, as aforementioned, it's free for students (even out-of-state students!). Take advantage of all the resources here at the historical society and spend a day here and at the nearby garden center. The Philbrook is also not far!

The art was incredible, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. One of my favorite parts was the Andy Warhol room was so fun and such a cool experience! The grounds were truly breathtaking. We went with our clinical group and had the best time walking around and taking so many pictures inside and outside. Every corner felt picture-perfect. The gift shop had so many cute and unique items, and we couldn't leave without stopping by the Wildflower Café. Their lemonade was amazing! Such a wonderful experience. I would definitely go back again if I'm ever in Tulsa.

Gordon days). This exhibit shows his whole range from the 1980s to more current works (like Men in Ball Gowns). There's a dry sense of humor that runs throughout his works. Opening night was crowded so I definitely want to return. A portion of the gallery is remade to look like his studio and I believe he will be painting live there at times. Another world-class exhibition! (Sept - Jan 3, 2026)

I was a regular at the original location in Houston and I am so glad there is a location here. This is the perfect activity for a lovely evening with friends, family or on a date. This is how it works: go to their website and look at the calendar to pick the painting you want. Sign up online or by dropping by their location during office hours and let them know who you're going with so they can make sure you'll be seating together. Prices vary depending on the day you want to go (~$35-$45). I personally think this is super affordable (and SO worth it!) since they provide everything you need for the painting class, it lasts from 2 to 3 hours, plus the invaluable direction of the awesome artsy people guiding you throughout the class. It is NOT a problem if you don't have a creative bone in your body (like me!). You'll be impressed by the end-result. It is super fun to drink wine, munch on snacks, enjoy the music and company while painting, and you get to take your masterpiece at the end of the night (they make GREAT gifts!).
