I'd seen this the last few times I was in Visalia, but finally went in --whoa! It went on for days!…read moreI remember when it was a furniture store when I was a kid, and didn't recall it being so expansive inside. Quite a variety of sellers/ offerings/ price points here. I realize as the years roll on it is harder to find genuinely vintage or antique things, but I still quickly pass booths that have fairly new merch. I was a little surprised at some of the prices, but I guess that's just life these days: more expensive. Sorta regret not buying the Schiaparelli scarf I saw there. Enjoyed seeing the number of hats on display. Thought the vintage clothes were also pretty pricey as well. It's not necessarily a place I'd go out of my way to see, but fine to kill an hour or two on a rainy day.

My husband, daughter, and I stopped at this antique store on Main St. today. We shop at vintage and…read moreantique stores almost weekly. Our daughter is really into that stuff. The moment we walked in, we encounter weird stares from the man and woman behind the counter. Like they were suspicious of us. They never took their eyes off of us. Our daughter found 2 stuffed animals that she wanted and I found a teapot. My husband took the teapot to the counter. Our daughter (15) was hugging the the stuffed animals as she was trying to talk her dad into buying them. We finally agreed to let her get them when the guy walked up to us and said that he had been watching us on the cameras. He asked her to give him the stuffed animals. We told him that we were going to buy them but he kept insisting that she hand them over. It was a very weird experience. Very uncomfortable. I told him, I guess we look like hoodlems to you...paid him $97 to be treated like criminals. We'll never go there again.

This place is very dirty, dusty, outdated and well not very well taken care of. I understand fully that it's an antique shop but the ones I've been too aren't this scattered and shattered. Spied an item that I'd seen back in February and decided to ask the manager if the booth owner would accept offers. She couldn't be bothered to call the booth owner and said, "Since his booth is already 20% off, I doubt he'd be interested in your offer." Oh, okay. I put back the things I was considering buying and took my business elsewhere. I don't know about you, but a sale for a little less on an item that's been sitting for several months (at least) seems better than no sale at all, right? I hope the booth owners read these reviews.
