Tried to purchase a trailer from this business and wound up not purchasing for the following reasons:
1. They do not list prices online. You have to call to get the mystery price. They sell on ebay as well, so check there to see how the trailer you were just quoted is selling for there.
2. They offer 5% "discount" if you provide an email address. When you ask for this discount they will tell you its already applied to the price without knowing if you provided an email or not. I was told after a price was given and before I added my email and they did not tell me until I asked.
3. The salesman was a very nice person, but seemed to have to ask the owner questions in every step of the way. The financing person was the same.
4. Since it would be around a 6 hour round trip to purchase, I asked about delivery options or assistance. I provided an outrageous shipping quote, told they could not meet me half way as they don't do business that way, then decided they would for some reason for, once again, an outrageous price to meet half way.
5. Had everything ready to purchase and make the long drive but could not be given an estimate on the time frame it would take for the paperwork to get done.
6. Finally, the was transferred to the owner and started to get drilled on what bank I was going through, and how they needed to send everything over, but still couldn't give me a time frame for paperwork to get done. I did not want to sit all day their "dealership" to drive all the way back. Plus, when I explained there were time delays to get phone calls back from my bank and their finance person, because I couldn't be told if they knew how to do drafting instructions for funds or a letter of guarantee of credit or funds, I told them my bank was sending those to me before they closed to send to him and I was told very abruptly, THEY need to send it to HIM directly.
I asked if he was the owner and he arrogantly he said yes, and I told him I will not deal with someone with an attitude issue and that he can keep his trailer. He treated me like he was doing me a favor by selling the trailer to me and started arguing that he didn't have an attitude. Pretty bad he doesn't even realize how he treats potential customers.
Like I said before, the salesman was very nice and I emailed him to let him know his owner blew the deal and wished him well. I wished them luck on ebay with the trailer as well but will gladly pay more to purchase from a company that treats their customers with a sense of value and appreciation. read more
