Relying entirely on this representation, I paid their hefty upfront fee under the understanding that my insurance would reimburse the claim in full. They assured me I could contact their office if I had any issues with this claim. For the record, I have never had even a copay at other dental practices. My routine cleanings and X-rays have always been fully covered elsewhere. To my great surprise, my insurance only covered a portion of their fee. I reached out to their office over the phone and spoke with Ashley, who informed me that this was routine and to be expected. Helen sent me a follow up email reiterating that I was entirely at fault and would not be reimbursed for their misleading mistake. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone based on their deceptive practice of attempting to gain clients by not being upfront about costs. It left me with an icky feeling and sadness that although this is a small town, there are businesses here that would remain successful despite operating in such a dishonest manner. You are best served by taking your business elsewhere.

They did not collect existing X-rays from prior dental providers. They claim that annual X-rays are their standard of care. I was assured that dental X-rays are low radiation and that "you're exposed to more radiation from walking outside." After a cursory exam, he recommended a scaling/root planing, which is a procedure done by the hygienist in that office. I had it done, but was disappointed in follow-up appointments that my gums continued to bleed. I recalled something my father (a periodontist) had told me: a scaling should only be done by a periodontist. So I started calling around, and found Dr. Kondrat, who does this procedure himself. Even though it was out of my way, I made an appointment. After a much more thorough exam, he recommended another scaling/root planing, which he performed himself. A month later, he had me back to check my new baseline. I was elated that ALL my trouble pockets had decreased to normal range.. and there was no bleeding. What an excellent outcome! I guess my dad was right: this procedure should not be done by a hygienist, only by a periodontist. Besides being painstakingly thorough, Dr. Kondrat is warm and amiable (like the rest of his staff), and the whole experience was a pleasure. Well worth the trip!!

It kept feeling like we were in a factory on an assembly line and very impersonal. Not really a relationship. By chance, I filled out a post treatment feedback survey and mentioned that we had never even met Dr. G. The next appointment, they made me wait at checkout and she very uncomfortably got in my face saying "Heeeeere I AM. Now you've seen me." It was odd. A couple years later, my son had a bunch of cavities pop. He was quite nervous about it during one filling and they course corrected to help make him comfortable. The next cleaning, Dr. G was the doctor. First time ever 9 years in. She burst into the room and yelled "this time you're getting THE BOSS." He was petrified and wasn't really cooperative. We got the basics done. She recommend 6 fillings, most on baby teeth and that we have him undergo anesthesia in Brighton to have it done. We discussed with his doctor and he recommended against it as it would fuel more concerns with dental anxiety to bring him to a strange place and put him out. He recommended trying an anti anxiety med with a dentist in the office that he had worked with before successfully. We communicated this back to Dr. G but didn't hear back. Flash forward 6 months, we had to get a tooth extracted for my daughter recently at the request of her orthodontist. We called to book and they told us that the family had been removed from the practice due to treatment philosophy. No communication, no notice. This is how we found out. My daughter is devastated as she liked the place a lot. Looking back, it seemed par for the course....impersonal, no relationship, self-important vibe by the owner. In summary, good location, pretty good service and availability but it is her way or the high way. We agree with other comments that she seems more inclined to drill on baby teeth than many other dentists.
