Got me in the door and took my deposit with confidence. I was given two options and we decided that we would go with the higher priced option for our end result. Two weeks later I got a call from their supplier and was told I needed to give them an extra $1700 for generic plans so that I could get a permit. Called my salesperson, Ariel, and she agreed that was incorrect. She did handle that issue, but she suggested that we "switch suppliers". I told her that I would follow her lead on what she thought was best. So, she moved supply houses. This came in a few hundred more, but I felt like she was looking out for us. Another two weeks went by and I was called by the supplier to collect $250 for the generic plans... At this point I started questioning what my deposit was for. Apparently, it's the shed company's profit, because there was no real answer. Out of the blue one afternoon, Ariel messaged me to see if I could assist with her issue with a frustrated client who was done with a contractor that she had suggested to install concrete. This client was so disappointed with the entire experience as well and was demanding a refund from both the concrete contractor and the shed company for negligence. This happens to be what I do for a living and I agreed to help. I was never compensated for my time or services. I'm guessing that this is standard practice? We decided that we would have to cut back on an expenditure on the building after we had an unexpected death in our family and the additional expenses of taking care of our loved one (my father in law). Ariel said she understood and would handle it. In the beginning, the upgrade was a $3500 up charge. She came back with an $800 discount. Not even close to the original agreement. When I brought this up, her answer was to SWITCH SUPPLIERS AGAIN and the price INCREASED AGAIN. Keep in mind, I have never asked for any switching of vendors. I simply told her that I would follow her lead. After all of this, I decided enough was enough and I simply wanted to start over from scratch, to return my deposit, and I would allow her to restart new. She refused stating that the deposits are non refundable or transferable. Yet, she TRANSFERRED THE DEPOSIT THREE TIMES. I gave a third option of building another box for our property and applying the already existing deposit. She agreed. Now she comes back with a deposit that is $1500 less than my original deposit and said that amount is non transferable. I've asked for a call from the owner of the company, Riley Nell, and I am still waiting. In closing, buyer beware. I'll update if this is resolved.

I purchased a 16' x 44' building. They tell me They deal with buildings this size without problems. 2. In between purchase and pick up. The carpenter they have damaged the building basically snapping it in half. I have pictures and video of the bldg when i purchased it and the damage. Instead of informing anyone that he damaged the building he said nothing and tried to hide it until the date of delivery when when the driver saw the bldg bowed and refused to deliver the damaged building. Backyard storage could have informed me instead of allowing me to put a foundation down costing thousands for the bldg. They initially try denying any damage to the building as I'm not present on site. 3. Backyard storage tries to get another company to deliver the damaged building and said I would be held liable if it's damaged. I came and looked at it myself and saw the damage it was BADDSS khaliq tried to deny damages then got called out AND THE REPAIR GUY ADMITED HE TRIED TO LIFT IT WITH THE MULE AND BROKE IT. only then did they offer to repair the bldg because they broke it using the mule incorrectly. 4. I was put in contact with Chuck Pfleghardt the GM he stated they would repair the bldg for me. 5. I inspected the fix and the guy who did repairs said he couldn't fix it and did his best. I advised him and Khaliq to contact the delivery service J&J towing and explain the issues and see if they will be able to do what is expected if if they say yeah I'd resign the agreement. 6. Khaliq told me he contacted J&J and they said it was all clear. So I resigned boy was that a mistake. 7. I found out again on the day of delivery the bldg is undeliverable the employee couldn't repair what he damaged and they never cleared it with J&J towing ahead of time so Khaliq lied and said he ok'd it when he didn't. 8. The driver refused the bldg because it's still damaged and BackYard storage tried to blame the driver and every excuse he could make up and still tried to convince him to deliver the damaged building. The driver contacted me and told me. What they were wanting him to deliver the bldg anyways and he couldn't do business like that. 9. I reached back out to the GM Chuck Pfleghardt to resolve the issue since they failed to do their job and dropped the ball and straight up lied to me. He had every excuse. Now it's because the building is too wide.... now it's too long and it's not ment to be moved. The guy who repoed it damaged it and didn't tell them. Then he tried to blame me for buying the building ...that was crazy. 10. I was contacted at 2pm today they refunded my deposit and told lies that J&J towing told Khaliq that they will no longer deliver bldgs over 30' that all they have is a 16' x 30' for me. I contacted J&J to confirm and that was also a lie by Backyard storage. Khaliq couldn't even come up with a name of who told him that so it was a lie. I asked will they give me discount since they damaged my building and cost me thousands and have to rip up the foundation and to see the bldg. 11. 6 hrs later at 8pm since I didn't make a decision and had questions for them to right the wrong make the customer happy so they refused to do right by their screw up. They gave me 6hrs to decide if I want a totally different building not even time to think about it. 12. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND THE HEADACHE to make a purchase this large with dishonest people I wouldn't do any business with them imagine if my delivery guy didn't have morals I'd be stuck with a $15k pile of trash. They could have saved me the headache and money if the guy just informed management of the damage and notified me. 2nd go round if the driver deny the pickup the. u need to get the ok from delevery 1st. 13. I will leave this up until they do right by waisting my time and money by being dishonest and shady.. 14. People spending that kind of money with their business needs to do better.

Although these prices seem high; they are very much inline with other builders. The used building I looked at was 12,295 USD. It's a large one; 12 by 32 feet. It still looks new. Everything has greatly escalated in price everywhere, every item. The builders of these buildings have seen their material prices skyrocket and have to adjust their prices accordingly. I saw a lot of nice structures and took a couple of pictures. They offer delivery and set up with each purchase.

We attempted to purchase and have a GE Profile dishwasher installed through the Home Depot Harbison…read morelocation in Columbia, South Carolina, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We ordered the dishwasher, paid for delivery, professional installation, and the required installation kit. Prior to delivery, we completed all preparation exactly as outlined on Home Depot's website. This was a replacement of an existing dishwasher, not a new install. The plumbing and electrical were already in place, and there are existing 2-inch holes through the cabinet to route the water and drain lines, which is standard. After unboxing the dishwasher and bringing it into our home, the installers told my wife they could not hook it up because the lines run through another cabinet. This makes no sense given that the old dishwasher was installed the same way. Anyone with basic installation experience knows you simply tape the old lines to the new ones and pull them through. My wife even asked if they could complete everything except pulling the lines through to the sink cabinet. They said yes and then left without completing the install. I then called Home Depot customer service and, after being transferred three times, finally reached a supervisor. Unfortunately, it felt like talking to someone reading from a script with no interest in resolving the issue. Since it was clear this was going nowhere, I told them to come pick up the dishwasher. I will purchase from a company that can actually perform the installation they sell. I am capable of installing it myself, but I don't have the time, and Home Depot only allows 48 hours for returns. This entire experience was a waste of time and money. Very disappointed, and I will not be purchasing appliances or services from Home Depot again. Around $900 for Dishwasher $200 for installation now someone else will get that sale.

However, I personally think that Home Depot, in general, lags behind Lowe's in a number of key areas, mainly customer service and especially the garden center.
