The lodge itself is set up on a hill overlooking the lush green Irish countryside and surrounded by naturalized gardens. The outside of the lodge blends traditional with modern as does the inside. There are cats and dogs that belong to the innkeepers roaming the grounds. Our room was "rustic modern" with a vaulted ceiling and beams. Everything was new and modern inside. We had a walk-in shower that worked very well. The Irish innkeepers were very nice and friendly and they had some help from two non-Irish young ladies. We have not yet had breakfast but I am looking forward to "The Full Irish Breakfast." Overall we are quite satisfied with our lodging selection and would definitely return here.

From the run up to the day until we left the wedding coordinators & staff couldn't have done enough for us. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating and made our lives extremely easy. We really didn't have to ask for much as they are ultimate professionals at what they do and had everything in hand unless we needed something personal. The food and service was absolutely amazing, you will not find nicer food than this venue and the amount of food and wine provided was incredible. Every single guest at our wedding could only say the most wonderful things about the staff, the food, the wine and how absolutely stunning the venue is. The only downside to Rathsallagh is you don't want to leave! We will be forever grateful to everyone at Rathsallagh for making our day as magical as possible. I only wish we could do it all again. We came in April when the weather was a bit cold but the beds were warm and space cozy. Breakfast of a traditional Irish breakfast was delicious. You can tell this is what Catherine was meant to do and loves to do. Her family lives here full time and she told me about how she grew up in a BNB and her husband built the place. So if you get a few nights in county Wicklow, be sure to stay with Catherine and give yourself extra time to explore this hidden (and mostly not talked about) area south of Dublin.
