I come to this Tubbys even though there are two Tubby's closer to my house. The reason I come here is because it's a bigger restaurant you can serve properly food is always good and fast. I came to this Tubby's for the 50th Anniversary, for my $1 and some change Steak and Cheese sub. I must admit, I knew the line would be long. I called other locations and apparently some refused to participate in the promotion. Other stores said they were really low on meat for the steak one and another said they were out of bread but making more. Luckily, this location was participating and they had meat. Once we were close to the front, a gentleman informed us they were almost out of bread but making more. We did get our subs though. They gave us an 8inch which was awesome because I expected 6in. They were not running a drive thru, which I do not blame them. The drive thru would be too chaotic. The sub was alright. I understand that it may not have been the best due to short staff and the rush. My bread was not toasted and there was barely any meat. This is understandable and I do not blame them for this. They were trying to save as much as possible so they wouldnt run out like other locations. I was happy I even got one. We spent under $3 for two 8inch subs, awesome! They were so sweet her. And the cupcakes they feature, literally sweet also. They sell cupcakes!!! I think that was my most exciting part of my trip. Next to not having to get out of my car to get the food. Those subs from Tubby's my husband's verified they are big. he orders the Tubby and I usually get the small Philly steak and cheese. They have taco bites, onion rings, french fries, and more that you can pick for your sides. They also offer kids meals and kids portions. Service was very quick comparing them to Subway's drive thu. I've been here before for the Tubbys famous and sides. Never had an issue. Yesterday I decided to go with a steak and mushroom sub. First few bites were ok. Then it was full of hard, inedible, gristly pieces. I could not eat it. Every time I bit into it, it was a hard bite. Had to throw it out. This place is ok, just be wary of ordering the steak sub! After a bad experience at a tubbys near me, I decided to go to this location instead. I'm so glad I did! The staff here is great! They are hardworking, quick, and FRIENDLY! I have been coming since I was a little girl and after the lady, Sam tried to SCAM me I will NEVER come back again and I will let people know. I placed my order online and sent my teenage sister in bc all she had to do was sipe the card for $29.18 and pick up 3 subs. As I was waiting in the car I get a notification that my card was charged $85.75!!! FOR THREE SUBS!!!! So I went inside at first thinking maybe she just double charged me or hit the 8 key instead of 2 wringing us up trying to rationalize it but when you look at the $29.18 and $85.75 they are nothing alike she purposely had to type in that about bc the three sandwiches does not equal $85.75 so when I did confront her she didn't apologize immediately she became defensive and told me I could have cash and she couldn't cancel my order and put it back on my card she was hoping that my sister and I weren't paying attention to make a quick $56 NOT TO MENTION waiting for the subs to be made every car in the drive through when the line was wrapped around the building and the ones pulling in were served before us and we had to wait a half hour for or food and we're scammed. Absolutely terrible and the food quality was just ehh so nothing worth it I am more concerned for elders and people that normally don't pay attention to their receipt bc they can and most likely do get away with the scams. read more

This location USED to be the better in the chain, but recently has started taking a hard nose dive since they've changed management I will assume. Was just in there 6/23/2020 and the 'manager' was running back and forth bagging single servings of something I couldn't identify as she was twirling them, had hair hanging in her face and no mask while handling food. Last I heard since they updated covid guidelines as they deal with food handling both were violations that could close them down. Hey, I want things to get back to normal too so I won't rat them out to the health department but if US CUSTOMERS have to wear those damn masks to 'protect the employees' then shouldn't the other people that work there? And if you order a jumbo size sammich , I recommend you double check to make sure it IS what you paid for. In the past 3 months they have no problem charging you for it but bicker when you call them on not sending out what you ordered. There is no reason and no way a Large Jumbo steak sub weighs the same as a medium non-jumbo steak sub. I wish the people that worked there in the summer 0f 2019 were still there read more

I am very satisfied with this Tubbys business on the east side of Garfield rd. It is very clean inside. Plenty of space to sit and a comfortable waiting area. The food is delicious and has excellent staff. This is by far the best Tubby's I have ever been to. What I love most about this place is the Drive Thru! They are extremely polite and fast when you order from your car. I give this a 5 star because this is probably the best and most evolved Tubby's I have ever been to. read more
