In the beginning, I use to get a quote from Dave, run home and do some shopping around, then end up always coming back to have them work on the vehicle. They are certainly good at what they do and don't rip you off doing so. Now it's the only place I send my vehicles and have recommended friends and family there all the time. For a place run by two guys, they turn things around pretty quick! Definitely book ahead a week or so and get your car there the night before. They have always delivered on time and with quality work. Also, I love the straight simple answers Dave always give. Some guys can run their mouths too much to get you to fix something. They simply let you know the facts and then let you decide. For that, I trust them.

Thank goodness I had them look it over, because the vehicle wasn't even able to pass inspection. Making matters worse, the front lower ball joints were damaged, making it unsafe to drive. It was a very disappointing and sobering experience, nearly being ripped off by a sleazy used car dealer. I've included a copy of the inspection report as well. I think it's safe to say it was the best $38 I've spent in a long time.

My family has known Lee for almost thirty years. He is by far the most trusted mechanic I've ever…read moremet in my thirteen years of driving. I've lived in multiple areas over the last few years: Wyomissing, PA; Boston, MA; West Hartford, CT; Ardmore, PA. I make it a point to always get work on my car done by Lee or someone at his shop. I cannot tell you the amount of times I went to a mechanic near where I lived and felt the price was a bit high, and then went to Lee who works with you to see what you need. Even if I don't need an oil change, I'll get it done early when visiting the parents for a long weekend or holiday because they are that good and that's how much I trust him. For example, this one time I went to a mechanic in Wyomissing and he said I need four new tires. He almost didn't let me leave unless I got new ones. I went to Lee and he said only two were needed and the other two could wait until the fall (before winter). There's no guarantee I'd come back to Lee again in the fall to get those other two tires done. This was just one of many, many examples. He isn't about money. He's about trust. I cannot stress enough how honest he is, especially for a mechanic that sometimes get bad reputations. My suggestion: Go to Lee and get your car done. If he says you need something, he really means it. There's no buyers remorse from him or wondering afterwards if he was just trying to sell me.

However, we needed to be there on Friday for various activities. After we left our hotel, we had been traveling for about 10 minutes when the warning light came on indicating one of our tires was low on air. We took the next exit and we were looking for a gas station. We stopped and asked a gentleman where a gas station would be and where we could get a tire checked and potentially fixed. This good Samaritan said follow me and took us several miles before we got to Jeff's Automotive Service. From the second we pulled into the parking lot, our anxiety started to diminish. They found a screw in a front tire and indicated that it had to be repaired. They dropped everything to fix our tire so that we could get on the road. We were impressed with the attitudes of everyone and they took customer service to a new level of excellence. They got us on the road quickly with smiles on their faces. The cost for the repair was minimal and the overall experience was outstanding. If we could give this shop a 6 or higher rating, we would and they deserve it. Thank you Jeff and your team for being the very best!!! Randy G. Frederick, MD
