Got habanero cheese and crackers, dill pickle jerky and toffee. Had read reviews but didn't know what food offerings they had. This was enough to nibble while sipping wine. Both the cheese and toffee were from Sweetwater- both delicious. Such a picturesque setting. The restored buildings are amazing and each of the restrooms were handsomely done. Bought a bottle to enjoy at home. The two ladies were helpful and friendly. So glad we stopped, highly recommend. read more

I stopped by here on my way to the Skyway. I did wine tasting and it was my first time tasting Muskadine grapes. It is very interesting, I enjoyed it. Wines are too sweet for me but they are all tasty. Service was great and the host was insightful. I was about 45 mins away. Called them up and asked "what time do you close?" "6pm" I looked at the clock, it wasn't 5 yet, so I got on the road! My wife and I were first introduced to the Tsali Notch wine at a Chef Extravaganza in Aiken, SC years ago! The Sweetwater wine is SOOO good! Bought 2 bottles and a couple of glasses. i was in and out before 6pm. Kayla hooked me up! I was flying out the next morning, so I had to check the bottles. After wrapping them up in clothes and catching 2 flights... bottles still intact! I'm ready to pop these bottles! The store is up on the hill and it was very peaceful out there. If I had time to sit and sample, I would have. Being that I had to get back on the road, I wasn't going to risk it! No drinking and driving, people!! read more

Once i got it home and it was chilled, delicious!! when i was taste testing, it wasn't as cold. all whites need chilled when serving! Our second time here for me and my wife. The location is great. The views are beautiful. You can see the entire Smoky Mountain range and into the Blue Ridge. There's plenty of parking. The grounds and vineyard are kept in perfect condition. There are a number of picnic tables to have lunch and a glass of wine. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We bought a sandwich at Tellico Grains Bakery and brought it to the winery. We sat on a picnic table enjoying a bottle of wine in the shade and admiring those views. Two concerns: There's no music, live or broadcast, and all of their wines are sweet, nothing dry. Despite that, it's a really wonderful, peaceful and relaxing place for a glass of wine. read more

Muscadine wine, anyone? Look no further, you can have all the muscadine wine you want and for a reasonable price. It is the largest muscadine vineyard in the state of Tennessee. The namesake, Tsali Notch, pays homage to a historic Cherokee leader of the same name. Feeling encouraged to take it a step further? For $10, you can pick your own muscadine grapes directly from the vineyard. One bucket can yield 5-7 lbs. of grapes. Plus, they have a ton of different grapes to choose from and not just one type. Busiest months for muscadines to grow are September and October. Since COVID-19 is a thing, tastings are not currently allowed in the tasting room. However, you are able to purchase a bottle and set up shop at one of their picnic tables to take in the sweeping views of the mountains and enjoy major social distancing with a glass (plastic cup) in hand of your wine. They are not currently selling only glasses of wine. My friend and I purchased a bottle before heading to the Lost Sea. We had a great time chilling out before going to the underground cave and lake, The wine we chose was the sweetest white that they offered. It did not disappoint. I really wanted to like this winery. I love muscadine wines. We went out of our way to stop here. First, the young lady that waited on us, wasn't particularly friendly. She was pleasant enough but really not really inviting, if you know what I mean. She was very clear from the start that were OUT of a lot of wines!! And they would NOT be testing those wines. And those wines were really the only was we liked. So, it was really a wasted stop for us. We liked red and the only ones she had were sweet and white. She said she was part of the family but not really. The whole experience was .... Odd. Like I said, it wasn't really inviting. We definitely won't stop again. read more

My kids definitely enjoyed the tire swing and the truck. The wine was sweet and tasted almost like a spiked juice and even though we don't prefer that type of wine it was delicious! This is a MUST see if in the area, even worth a further drive!! The scenery is just breath taking with rolling hills of vineyards and beautiful historic buildings. Jim was amazing and very welcoming. We arrived 15 mins prior to opening and he welcomed us to taste wines. It's a $10 tasting that includes 4 wines and a muscadine juice, you also get a cute wine glass. Jim informed us of the history of the facility and the story on the buildings. We are sweet drinkers and even enjoyed some of the drys! All of the wines were great! read more

This is a WONDERFUL place. I took my son for his birthday and we had a great time. I recommend doing the tour and then the tasting. Our tour guide Jim Dalton was very knowledgeable as well as friendly; willing to answer all our questions. There's a story around every corner! Came here Sunday afternoon around 5, an hour before closing. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was blown away by the gorgeous view. Pictures do not do it justice. When we pulled up, a very friendly worker welcomed us and explained their changes for COVID (no tastings or tasting room open, but you can buy a bottle to enjoy). Bought a delicious wine, and was pleasantly surprised by muscadine wine, as I had never tried it before! I can't wait to be back next time I am visiting Madisonville. read more

Very much enjoyed my visit to this vineyard. The staff were super nice and informative, and appeared to love what they do. I ended up buying the Atala wine- it's bubbly like a champagne. The wine tasting was only 5$ and you get to try all their delicious wines. If it wasn't so hot-95 degree weather- we would have went grape picking. What can I say! JD is my hero. I planned an Eclipse viewing party. We chose this location as it was in the bulls eye of totality. It was so impressive the amount of work and coordination they all put in to accommodate so many people. He made special accommodations for our group, even running the substantial amount of gear we brought to the shady spot we chose. He hauled us over there in one of his Gators. The wine is great if you like muscadines. You must go here during one of the festivals (wine festival, balloon festival etc.) What a beautiful spot to experience the glory of the East Tennessee hills. JD Dalton, thanks for a great weekend. This place is roughly hr drive from Chattanooga. I brought my gf here for her bday. JD and his wife were great and very knowledgeable about muscadines wine. We had fun with them as they let us sample wine. The wine was great and we ended up leaving with 3 bottles and a bottle of cider. You must try the sangria with their bottle of Rosé. Stopped in here after visiting the lost sea and was really glad I did. They have acres of muscadine vines and it's a very pretty place. Brought my Mom here for a tasting and we both loved the entire experience! The property is gorgeous, surrounded by scenic views of rolling vineyards and the Smoky Mountains in the distance. The person who gave us the wine tasting was very informative and funny, we really enjoyed hearing him explain the wines and what was unique about each one. We got to sample each of the wines they were selling at the time. We had never had a wine tasting before and came away with two bottles of delicious wine. Definitely a hidden gem and I only live 20 minutes away from this place! There was a barn that looked like you could have wedding receptions inside it, lit up with white Christmas lights, with no barn doors on it, looking breezy and airy for a nice country look. The eclipse viewing and atmosphere were great! I think they were a bit overwhelmed with the turnout, though, and the restrooms were a problem, since two were out of service, and many people had to stand in a line at least 30 minutes to get a chance to go. I would have liked to see some booths set up outside with wine tastings and a chance to sample and purchase wines there. The lines were just too long to go inside their only building. I think the surroundings were very beautiful and well-kept and I will be going back when the crowds aren't so overwhelming. read more

This venue is the most beautiful in East TN. They have delicious unique wines jams and jellies. They are a local favorite and such a friendly small business.
