You will find this sculpture overlooking the river, just off of Lewis and Clark Landing and…read moreRiverfront Park. It sits in the shadow of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. It is a very nice sculpture with an operational water feature. The sculpture depicts five larger-than-life bronze sculptures and weighs 271 tons and stands 30 feet tall. The piece was dedicated in 2003 and is the work of Matthew Placzek, who intended the piece to "represents the dignity, determination, and dedication of the American workforce." This stands as a testament to the hard working man and woman, "the working-class people." The piece is very sturdy. It even survived a flood in 2011, when the river crested at more than 36 feet. You will find a flood line marked on the side of the monument. The sculpture was renovated, sandblasted and painted in 2023. It is virtually new. The sculptures are very detailed. You can almost feel their effort they are putting in. The center piece of the sculpture are the ladles. These ladles were actually used in the original smelting plant that was located at the same site the monument currently occupies. This is a nice piece and being just off the river, it is very scenic. It is not a destination piece though, nor a large consumer of your time. With that being said, as with most sculptures that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions in the area, or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip.

Real nice river walk. Clean with plenty of trails and things to explore. Restaurants and bars close…read moreby.

First off, no lines. And if you manage to find the south entrance off of Harney Street, you don't even have to go through security. Wow. Second off, the local government staff was helpful. I mean it still took about 45 minutes longer than was really necessary -- which is to be expected -- but I actually walked out of there feeling like I had accomplished something. And it only cost me $1 more than I was anticipating. I hopefully will never have to come back here, but for what it's worth, a 3-Star experience at county courthouse is about as good as it gets.

Upon entry from the Farnam side, you are met with the standard 'old school' airport security. This time thru I accidentally had left a credit card knife in my wallet. Informed of my contraband, I quickly removed my knife and placed it in my vehicle. No less than 5 officers standing by the one line they had. My prosecutor was not budging in the slightest. Long story short, there is a big chance you don't want to be here. I don't blame you. Try to avoid at all cost

Brian, a Senior Customer Care Rep, was helpful in getting both services removed quickly. I appreciated that the process could be handled over email without needing to call. That said, I was later told by Rhea that no refund or credit would be issued because these services were supposedly added during a phone call back in 2020. I do not recall knowingly enrolling in them, and it is concerning that something with ongoing monthly charges can be added so easily and then remain on an account for years without clear visibility. Situations like this should not come down to whether a customer happens to catch it years later. There should be better transparency and clearer confirmation when optional paid services are added. As for the Electrical Line Protection plan itself, it is marketed as protection but is really a limited service contract with caps and exclusions. For the monthly cost, the value is not there, especially for a newer home. The core utility service works fine, but this experience left me double checking everything on my bill, which is probably something more customers should be doing.
