Even when one of our bag tags didn't print correctly, a gentleman quickly stepped in to assist with reprinting friendly, efficient, and exactly what you'd hope for during travel. Security was a breeze, with TSA agents who genuinely made the experience feel welcoming. One agent went out of their way to talk with my daughter, who is learning the ropes of travel and getting familiar with passport procedures. That small interaction meant a lot it turned what can feel like a tense moment into something empowering and positive for her. Overall, Sky Harbor's Terminal 3 gave us a departure experience that was thoughtful, helpful, and human. Delta's team and TSA created a travel moment worth praising.

Most of the times I fly, I've rarely seen any of the checkpoints (A-D) exceed 20+ minutes. I definitely prefer this TSA versus others in the county I've traveled in. If you are in Gate B, you've got to stop by Fazoli's if it is open! I actually booked a flight solely for Fazoli's when they made their return to Arizona and were only in Sky Harbor. Also, I enjoy La Madeline or OHSO. Pretty solid choices in this gate if that's your gate in Terminal 4: Gate B. Safe travels!

I even remember stories of Terminal 1 being torn down when I was younger. As I would most often find myself flying American Airlines or Southwest Airlines, Terminal 4 is where I travel into and out of the most. Unlike friends who absolutely hate flying, I enjoy the travel experience, especially when using some helpful tools like CLEAR, Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check, airport lounge membership, and airline status. While I occasionally fly Southwest, most often, I'll fly American Airlines and either skip the check-in area if I do not need to check bags (as I check in online or upstairs) or I will check in the priority area for any assistance or checking bags. I then will usually go to the B gate check-in (even if my outbound flight leaves from an A gate). That way, I can visit the Centurion or Escape Lounge for a nice, hot meal (compliments of the American Express Platinum card). I use Global Entry & CLEAR to skip most of the line at Security and keep my shoes on (again, thanks to an American Express Platinum card which comes with credits for both). The checkpoints are hit and miss as only one of the four Terminal 4 checkpoints are open for CLEAR when I typically travel (and it's not the B checkpoint). But during regular business hours, it is nice to have the CLEAR line in addition to Pre-Check and the other lines. The B checkpoint is never as busy as the A checkpoint, and it services American Airlines and is close to some of the lounges. The staff are great and helpful, and the lines typically move quickly. As such, I'll continue to go through the A and B checkpoints for the foreseeable future.

It's gotten so bad they have ICE working in the airports temporarily. The TSA wait times at airports have been reported to be hours long and videos online shows lines stretching out the airport doors. So I guess I just hit the magic hour or something, because at ten in the morning there was no line at all. I mean there was literally no line! I just walked straight up, dropped my bag on the belt and went through the scanner. Bonus fact! I got to second base with TSA when they wanted to pat me down. Nice! Apparently so did my M&M's too though as they were swabbed for explosives and put into a special scanner I guess. Here I was feeling all special too. Whatever. Despite all the hate TSA gets, they're just trying to keep us safe, and they are doing a great job in terminal 3 this week.

I don't know what's going to be considered hostile or not so I won't even make eye contact with them anymore, no greetings, no personality, nothing. But if I am going to be falsly accused and threatened when I have no history of aggression, then the only thing I want is to get in and out as fast as possible. I understand that putting trays in the bin is airport etiquette, but there is no law requiring us to do so, comparable to putting shopping carts in the corral. I ordinarily would follow etiquette because it's the responsible thing to do, but when I am in anxiety/panic attack mode because I could be harassed again, I just wanna grab my things and leave asap. About a month ago I was told to put my extra bin back (I get two, one for my shoes and one for everything else), so that's what I started doing. Then today I get yelled at and when I told her I put the extra bin back she chastised me for not putting both back. Why can't you guys get your stories straight? Why is it when I do what I am told to do, I still get singled out and confronted? Why can't I just get to work peacefully?! I don't understand why I am being singled out, been at the airport over ten years now and I have never had these issues before. Is it because I'm fat? Is it because I'm gay? Something else? Make it make sense!
