Keesler Federal Credit Union is a predatory organization who hides behind all the hoops and…read moreobstacles created by its very own procedures and protocols to ensure its customers are paying as much as possible rather than as little as possible. They don't want you to pay your loan on time and they definitively don't want you to pay it early because that means less money for them. It's a scheme and it's awful. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!! I opened a loan account with Keesler Federal for a vehicle I recently purchased. I tried to set up the online banking so that I could use my checking account to pay my monthly loan payment. I went through all the steps. Keesler Federal was supposedly responsible for sending some weird amounts to my checking account and I was supposed to find/locate them and then input those amounts within KF's online system to connect the outside account. No such information ever came to my bank account and I have since expressed this on two separate occasions with their automated telephone service team. NOTHING HAS BEEN CORRECTED. It's been months! So once I realized that I wasn't going to have that option to pay, they told me that I could use they Loan payment widget on my dashboard. While logged in I needed to select "Transfer and Pay" at the top of the screen. So I did. Then I was instructed to select "Loan Payment" which I did. This opens a screen that reads: "Make a Loan Payment from an External Financial Institution Use our Loan Payment Widget to make payments* with a debit card or account from another institution. You can make a one-time express payment or set up recurring ACH payments. *Mortgage payments excluded. Please return to the dashboard to access your mortgage information." Beneath the message there is a button that reads: "Launch Loan Payment" This Button has not worked since I started with Keesler Federal several months ago. Every time I hit the "Launch Loan Payment" button it just refreshes the page and returns me back to where I started. So to be clear for all of you who've made it this far on my journey, I have not been able to get access to pay my bill online with my personal bank account or by way of the online Loan Payment Widget. Not because I've done something wrong, but because something on Keesler Federal's side is not functioning the way its supposed to. So at this point my only two ways of paying is by mailing a payment or going in person to a local branch. Well guess what??? I've gone twice now to the same local branch to make a payment on my loan account. Again, not because I wanted to come in person, but because it seemingly was one of my only options left to successfully get a payment to a group of people who obviously don't want to take the payment. Both times were incredibly unsuccessful. Shocker, I know! The first time I went into the branch it was a little after 2:00 in the afternoon. I patiently awaited my turn in line and once at the reception desk, I asked to speak with an agent. There were four offices to the side with massive glass windows which gave a clear view of those in the offices. All were filled with agents and no office at the time had any other guest being serviced. I was told that no one could see me at that time because they were all at lunch. To which I replied, "There is an agent in each office and clearly none of them are eating." After confronting them about this blatant lie, I was ushered to speak with an agent. Again, I've shown up to this place with a debit card and bank account with the funds to make a payment on my loan account, and I'm being jerked around, and I don't have a clue why. They finally take my card, and run the card. They come back and say that my card was declined. I am dumbfound because I have more than enough money in my account to cover this payment. Then then tell me that they didn't run my card as a credit/debit but rather a cash advance. They also told me that they could not run my card again that day because it was, yet again, another policy that kept me from paying my loan payment. (Please refer to the predatory description I eluded to at the beginning.) I then expressed some deeply passionate concern as I informed the employee that I had not authorized a cash advance. I had authorized that they charge my debit/credit card for the amount of my loan payment. They then said they could NOT do that and they could only do cash advances. My bank only allows a 500 a day limit on cash advances and my loan payment was more than that. So ladies and gentleman, at this point, the loan payment has not been paid, and NO ONE in the branch seems to care. They just keep repeating, "We're sorry we can only run your card once." I was expected to accept this and walk away. I'm NOT TRYING TO PAY THEM and this is the maze I'm supposed to make it through? At no point did any of them suggest other options. I was left with a better luck next time attitude by all of them. AGAIN THIS A PREDATORY COMPANY!!!! Sad!!!
