I recognize the usage of AI as a practical tool but certainly not as a creative medium--especially when vendors charge $30 and above for "artwork" that a human didn't even create. I feel that selling AI-generated pieces is not only deceptive but a poor reflection on any business given how environmentally damaging it is plus the fact that AI continuously steals content from hard-working human artists. I love Homespun and will continue to recommend them on account of my positive experiences as a shopper, but I feel that they and other businesses can do better when it comes to recognizing the harm AI causes.

There are books for all ages from newborn to seniors. There are more than books here! We enjoyed taking our time and looking at as much as we could in the hour we had available on this day. I love looking at cookbooks and there is an excellent variety to choose from. Books from local authors and books related to Tennessee and its history are displayed nicely. I knew I wasn't leaving without at least one book and I found two paperbacks for $5.99 each. Both books from best selling authors that I am excited to read. I highly recommend stopping in to pick out a book! Note: not a moon pie fan so I can't comment on that part of the store.

The Center offers a nice exhibit of animals and plants that can be seen in the park. Rangers are available to help answer questions and help design Park itineraries for visitors. The Center is a perfect place to pick up maps and other Park info. We bought parking passes and I picked up several cool walking sticks in the gift shop to give as gifts. Prices on some items were reasonable. The staff were super friendly despite the crowds. There are rest rooms available...the last real restrooms before entering the Park. Outside, are little "gardens" featuring native Park vegetation. Addition parking is being added. Every visitor to the Park should plan a stop at the Center. Plan 30 minutes to an hour.

So, before I used my credit card anywhere, I shopped or bought food (even at restaurants) I asked if I would be charged a service fee. I remember the items I bought at this store and I asked the two ladies if I would be charged. One was wrapping items and the other rang my purchases. I wasn't happy I was told no service fee. Then returned home to do my bills from the trip and saw I was charged 3.4% extra just for using my card. I would have gladly given cash. I feel employees and the owner should be honest about charging this credit card service fee. For this reason, I had to rate this store lower. It's also easy enough to just post a sign at your register saying customers who use credit will be charged a service fee of 3.4%.
