I took a friend to this branch to get a Certified check for a purchase of a car. She came back…read moreempty handed, I asked why, and she said that KAREN, the cashier, said could not give her a check, that my friend needs to go back to the branch she opened her account, (now that was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard that day) her bank was an hour away, and it was already few minutes to 5pm (when the banks close), which means there was no way we can get to silver spring and back in time. So we decided to call customer service, who proof that there was no reason that my friend couldn't be issued a certified or Cashier's check. I was so mad, I decided to go to talk to Karen to get more information as to why she will not issue the certified or Cashier's check. The bank had already closed, but the employees were still in, so I knocked and Karen finally came, so I politely asked why she can't issue the check, considering, my friend provided every form of ID Karen asked for. she couldn't give us any clear explanation besides the fact that she was so rude and unprofessional. On top of that, Karen did not give her her ID back. The next morning, my friend went to a different branch and received a Cashier's check with no hassle what so ever. So since we had to go back there the next morning to pick her ID, I decided to give my complaint to Karen's Manager. To my surprise, she defended Karen saying that my friend was on the phone, and because of that, she looked suspicious, excuse me! what is the purpose of her ID card if you can't verify her with that. Was it because she was black, withdrawing 5k, that makes her suspicious? Both the Manager (who was a woman, can't remember her name, but she was on duty during the morning to early afternoon of Friday, 02/26/2016) and Karen were very rude and unprofessional. Not even a single apology came out of their mouth. Because of this experience, my friend decided, she is going to close her account, and to be honest, I don't think I will ever recommend bank of america. May be it had to do with that particular branch, but man coming from a person works with customers all the time, that is no customer service.

This is the worst branch I've ever been to. The staff was very rude and didn't even wanna do their…read morejobs. There whole customer service needs a reboot. I went here to pay off my credit card and close the account. I physically went into the building not the drivethru and stood in line for about 5 minutes. There was a lady working the drivethru window and 2 employees working the counter. I was greeted nicely but then the girl who wasn't doing anything was like well be right with you. Meanwhile her coworker was giving me the stink eye. Once I finally got to their counter the lady who was working the window greeted me after she finished with her customers! I told her what I came there to do and she said ok you'll need to sit with a banker to double check the balance to make sure there aren't any hidden fees. I was like can't I just pull it up on the app? And she said sometimes that's not the true balance. This is when I started to get mad. Why have an app that doesn't even work then?? So then I sit with the banker and she gives me the same total that I have on my app. Then she was like ok you can go stand in line and they'll assist you with your payment. At this point I'm annoyed because I'm in a game of ping pong with these workers. I finally get up there and stink eye boy is like how can I help you and I'm like I'm just trying to pay this thing off so I can be on my merry way. And he was like ok how much do you wanna pay and I gave him the total the banker gave me. And he was like ok I got it. Then the banker gets up and starts talking to the teller who wasn't working and as soon as I said I'm paying with my debit card from a different bank she was like oh you can't do that because the amount is to much to process. Bruh!! I was like isn't this a bank? Don't y'all have an atm or something? She was like yes but you're gonna have to go through the drivethru to use it. So I left after that. I've never been so annoyed by a bank before. This is why I'm canceling all accounts with Wells Fargo and sticking to USAA.

Very disappointed in their operations here. My wife reported her account for fraudulent activity so…read moreher card was terminated. We tried to call customer service for assistance but it was after operating hours so we had to wait until the next morning to report the issue. The next morning we speak to a rep and she told us they could issue a new card but it would be 7 business days, and that we could go to any branch and get one issued immediately. We go to 2 different branches and both of them inform us that they only have 2 staff members working and we're uncertain if they could assist my wife.. With the limited hours that banks already operate this was EXTREMELY frustrating because my wife had been without a card all week and we still hadn't received anything in the mail. It's impossible calling customer service for help because they also have limited hours throughout the week. Very disappointed in our experience. Will be looking for a new bank with better customer service and availability.

I went this morning for a 9:00am appointment for a notary I have been banking with Secu since I was…read morea kid I always recommended Secu to everyone I came across looking for a bank well today I walked out in tears never felt so humiliated or uncomfortable in my life on how they made me feel. I have been getting a document notarized for the past 14 years, for the past 10 years from the Pasedena branch and today I was told by Rachael that she couldn't notarize my document I asked her why and she says their is no block on it I asked her what was a block and she replied a block I then proceed to tell her that I never heard of it and I come here ever 6 months to get a document notarized and never had an issue then says she has a right not to notarize my document so I asked her if she could get me someone who could Rachel goes to get her coworker and says if your comfortable enough in which I'm not because their is no block on this document you could notarized this her coworker looked puzzled and said I don't think I am either Rachael hands me my paper back and says I'm sorry but we have the right not to notarize this document if we don't want to im said seriously ok I walked out with tears flowing from my eyes I was treated very indecent I called cooperate and explained what happened and had to calm myself down while talking to them cause I just couldn't believe what just happened to me as I asked them what a block was they had no idea and Rachael didn't care to explain to me what it was either so I was put on hold while they called inside the bank when cooperate came back to the phone they asked was I still outside and if I could go in to hand someone the phone cause no one was answering I went back in still very upset but kept quite Rachael told cooperate what a block was which was a box on a document for a notary to fill out she also told them she had the right not to notarize my document when it is all said in done someone suppose to get back to me with this manner this is the worst experience I have ever had at this bank the absolute worst thanks to Rachael I honestly never thought I would have anything bad to say about SECU in Pasadena, MD until today

Nice people but systemic business problems. I have a HELOC with PNC and make regular "principal…read moreonly" payments in addition to automatic monthly payments. Literally, for years I have had problems at this location with them logging these principal payments as regular P&I payments resulting in increased average daily balance (to bank's advantage) and extra trips to resolve. It got so bad a couple years ago that I made formal complaints to several consumer and regulatory entities. PNC Corporate office even offered to have me make principal deposits through them because of this Branch problems. Cause? Tellers are not properly trained, software is too complicated for them to master, or PNC does not want to solve this problem as it benefits from the error. Or, some combination of these. Things have improved significantly in the past two years, but it reoccurred this week (in spite of writing "HELOC Principal Payment" in the check memo line and verbally confirming with teller each time). Bank staff told me that this is a recurring problem. They were all understanding/professional and solved the problem, but it required I make an additional early payment for the next month, required a special trip, and used over an hour of my time. Groundhog Day at PNC. I will not do business with them again...can't execute a simple transaction on a regular basis without error.

They were obnoxious and condescending to me on the phone. The bank manager at Severna Park submitted my evidence to customer service. The performer sent me a screenshot showing were Square had removed the money from his account. PNC refused to put my money back into my account, saying they had 90 days to complete their "investigation ", and my case could not be escalated. This bank made a billion dollars in the last quarter ALONE, but it took them d*** near 3 months to return $27.38 that Square had already removed from the merchant 's account? This is unacceptable, and I advise ANY one looking for a bank to bypass PNC. They have NO respect for the so-called "little guy", and deplorable customer service practices!
