The worst bank you can use. Customer service is like talking to a wall. Would not recommend banking with them to my enemy.

Truist iss the worst bank you can possibly use. I have been with them for over 3 years. My account had some fraudulent activity on it and truist said I can no longer bank with them. Horrible bank. Please Stay away form this bank. With the growing numbe of scams out there do you really want to bank with a bank that sided with the scammers. read more

Changing banks is right up there with packing & moving! Everyone hates it: it is time consuming, timing has to be spot on, contacting all bill payees & putting their info into new data base to pay bills....the list is endless. I had been with SunTrust for decades, at first happy & the last few years, monthly I said I was going to change banks. I never did, till they forced my hand. BT&T merged with SunTrust, creating Truiist ( what a name). I went to sign into my account & was unable to do so unless I signed an agreement with Truiist & allowed access to my electronic signature....NO, the time to act was now! What made it even worse, they chose to complete the merger on the weekend, so you couldn't call & ask any questions. On Monday closed account & moved on. Yes, it is a pain....especially a 7 day hold on funds via cashier's check, so I can't pay any bills......what a pain. The good news is once I get through the transition, I will no longer cringe & hate dealing with my inept & oh, so very slow bank. Truiist may be fabulous...I wasn't happy with the process of the merger & lack of information & options given to the customers, thus I did not want them to have my electronic signature or anything else. Best of luck to all BT& T & SunTrust ex customers now part of the Truiist family, I happily jumped ship. I must say the bank in Holiday, is more than a plain jane. You drive right past it due to lack of signage. Outside, no landscaping, the exterior is an odd, boring, useless bland color, with no personality. Inside is equally generic & just plain. Nothing on walls, only a few chairs, no coffee or water, lol & not even pens advertising their existence in town. They had forever to plan, yet the basics were forgotten. What's a girl to do? I don't have that much actual interaction with my bank, as far as like going to a branch weekly. With all our Country is experiencing & the foreign travel I do, I feel & know I am in much better hands! read more

This is not about this branch but the system isn't listing the branch I used. I used the branch on Sunset PT road, but this is a TERRIBLE bank in General. I opened an account and I should have known right away what I was getting into. They mispelled my name when opeing the account and apparently, it's not a simple fix. After twice sending me incorrect debot cards it was finally fixed 6 weeks later. Now fast forward and my debit card was charged by amazon for a purchase I didn't make. (Amount was $4.99) Amazon would not tell me any details because it wasn't my account that placed the order. (Separate issue, I know) I went to my branch and the teller took my information. After a few days, trusit deny's my claim saying I need to speak to vendor. I then get a poll asking how they did, and I told them terribly. So a bigshot from KY calls me I explain the whole situation and he promises to have his assistant look into it. Of course, nothing ever happens so I call the bank again to find out what's happening. Now they tell me claim is denied because I took too long to make a claim...which 7 days...supposed to be 30. So I finally had enough and I closed my account, essentially because truist thought I was trying to Rip them off for $4.99...HORRIBLE Customer service, TERRIBLE banking service. They also cut thier MM interest rate from 4% to 1.9% and when I asked the branch manager told me I got a promotional rate...I did not, or was never told it was promotional. I have a few clients at Trusit and their rates were lowered as well. So I guess you can say they are liars as well. I recommended to my clients that bank there to go to different banks. read more

I can not wait to switch banks ! Even one bad egg can spoil the bunch! Somehow there was a thousand dollars misplaced . He was rude and inconsiderate on top of that I recommended BANK OF AMERICA. Hello This is for Truist branch at Massachusetts & Congress who doesn't have a Yelp location but it needs a -20 star for the drive thru. Went today with no other vehicles in the drive thru but it took 10 minutes before some one came and another 15 minutes to get the check cashed. From what I could see there was 1 customer at the counter. 25 minutes is ridiculous. read more

For a year now truist has put a hold on my paycheck that is received once monthly. It's the same check from the same company. I use to just suck it up and deal with it because working 3 different job locations is hard to go open a new account elsewhere. A few months ago Truist started releasing monthly check in increments of 3 deposits but not this month it's a 9 day full hold. It was a little higher than normal due to back pay but now what am I supposed to do about all my bills being due 5th-8th of the month! I'm going to get charged late fees on all my bills & overdraft fees all because Truist is one of the worst banks ever. I want the deposit canceled out and I will go to Wells Fargo bank cash the check and change banks or release it in increments. I understand that they keep telling me that it's because I'm going over the deposit limit but yet on my mobile app for Truist, it says monthly limit of 15,000. When you call their customer service, nobody wants to help you. I say on hold total today for 5 hours 38 minutes due to the fact, I asked to speak to a supervisor & still no one has helped me. This bank has went downhill since the merger. This is my second time complaining about this bank, but I guarantee you that they don't even care that I'm fixing to have to pay probably well over $1500 in late fees and penalties on my bills not including the overdraft fees. So thank you Truist for making it all worth it working from 6 AM to midnight six days a week for just for my credit to go to hell. It's the same counseling agency paycheck every month that works with the VA as community care to help veterans and also with children a so thank you thank you for allowing me to have the gas to get to work because now I CANT because I rely on my paycheck every month. read more

Not this exact Truist bank but the company as a whole . I'm 50 years old . I opened an account with this company about a year ago and it has been endless issues and POOR customer service. The issues I have had getting my own money out of this bank ( company ) is ridiculous. We moved recently and the nearest Truist bank is an hour away and after battling to get my money to my children and grandchildren before Christmas is pathetic. So now I'm taking that trip to take my money to another bank . read more

extremely bad customer service. i transfered my money from a another bank to truist and it took them 2 week to release my money. yesterday, i used zelle to send for $400. i had to call the 800 number for a pending payment. they asked me what was the service for and where and the first name, last name and if the person was at my home. seriously?????????????sending 4 times a security number on my phone by text, account number, social security...i understand that security is important but this bank goes to another level that frustrate customers for sure. do they really to know the reason why i have to send $400??????????????????????? read more
