This has been my financial institution since 1977. My first loan paid for my divorce. The second loan paid the IRS for winnings on Wheel of fortune two years later. Between then and 2011, I saved with SCU and got little loans and CDs. 10 years ago we got another big loan for our pool and screened porch. Right now, I have 2 years left on my auto loan. I would not go anywhere else for loans or for growing my money. The services and staff are first rate. Today, Matt helped me cash and deposit savings bonds from the early 1990s. He was personable, professional and efficient. He's helped me before, and it's always been a pleasure. He also helped my husband transfer funds from checking to his money market. Yes, he could have done it online, but face to face is so much more satisfying! We hope to keep coming back for many years. read more

Suncoast Credit Union - I have this rate! - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Holiday, Florida

I'm 30-year member and have been satisfied with the service. The credit union recently changed it's online banking system to a complete mess. It is terribly time-consuming and makes absolutely no sense and I can't imagine anybody thinks this is in the best interest of the consumer. This credit Union must be saving a lot of money with this. Because now the customer has to do all the work which takes hours to go and reconcile all of the checks. The new website does not distinguish between online payments and draft payments by check. A third grader could have made a better website. The CEO of this company should be fired along with the person who designed the website. Suncoast probably thinks people can't change their Banks because so much of our paychecks retirement checks and social security are on direct deposit. But I'll bet in a year Suncoast is going to find they have lost many many customers read more

Great customer service and the coin machine is a fun throwback. I love that Suncoast offers this service.

We are very happy with the way their manager, Will, took the time to walk us through each step of reinvesting our funds at a much greater rate than we had. Thank you! Tony S read more

Used to like this bank but then things changed! Not sure if the "People's Choice Awards" thing is for a younger crowd, but let me tell you kiddos what banking was like since I'm old and just turned 40.....you could call or just show up, and there was never any pressure to do one or the other no matter what the function was. Now there are phone robots who transfer you to someone who can't help, or teller robots where you video contact someone and they're virtual so they can't help you either! This location has two live helpers up front most times and of course they are busy. Everything now requires a special request, or form. Because of this, I opened a few accounts with other banks, and I just did what took me three calls, one virtual teller and a branch person not to get done in one quick visit! Thanks Achieva! read more

I've been a member of Suncoast for .. ever it seems. I've not been to this location in a minute, at least since they did the remodel and took out the living tellers and set in the automated systems. I'm not a fan. Today I went in with the bi-anual collection of my piggy bank as I'm heading out of town this weekend and this will be my present budget. I used their coin counter and then got in line for the next available teller. It took two cycles and one reminder to a gentleman that "It's all one line.. " Not that he could just walk up to one of the cubbies and wait. When it was my turn, I followed the directions and ... waited again. Another wait of 5 minutes. I'm not even exaggerating. Meh. While they were quick with the service when it actually happened, to me, this was akin to being called up to the next teller, only to watch her balance her drawer, and then do paperwork all while you stand their awkwardly waiting for her to acknowledge you. It certainly hasn't streamlined anything, but I guess it's good for the fact no one is getting robbed. read more

Bad experiences with having my direct deposits post and are ALWAYS in pending status for a full week or more! I've been with suncoast for a few years now! It's time to take back control of my money!! read more

So conflicted here. On one hand, I really hate how the SCCU locations are becoming impersonal with the ATM-style tellers, but on the other hand, the staff here is extremely friendly and quick to help resolve issues. I've set up a business account here, replaced stolen cards and disputed fraudulent charges with relative ease here at this location. What I can't stand seeing though, is when the electronic tellers are backed up and the staff is standing around doing nothing. It has to be as awkward for them as it is for the members standing in line. The location on Ridge still has human tellers, so I go there as much as I can. read more

I joined just to get an excellent interest rate on a car loan. They were able to give me a 2.5 percent interest rate on my new vehicle. They went by my history not just the number of my credit score. read more

The worst place for banking EVER.. I had been a customer of Suncoast before & moved away from New Port Richey & now that I returned decided to open an account (Money Market) again, which I did online since I don't like going inside any banking facility.. I opened the Membership account online 7/3/20 & funded it the same day & rec'd a thank you email from Suncoast for joining.. Waited until 7/10/20 for my account number & never received it so I called their customer service (?) number & was told it takes awhile HUH aren't they online.. Getting disgusted I went into this particular branch to get back the deposit I had transferred to the account & close the account since obviously they are a little slow, good thing my credit score is near 800.. First I was told I had to either wait outside (Covid excuse) or I could wait in my car & they would call me (suppose I didn't have a cell phone) it was 92 degrees outside that day & the mask doesn't help.. I waited in my car.. They called me I went into the branch & it took the girl exactly one hour to close the account, one hour unbelievable & as a retired banker I was stunned.. She gave me my big $30.00 & I left thinking that was the end of it however I was wrong since yesterday I received a check from Suncoast for the same $30.00 quite a return on my original investment.. Now I am forced to go back to that branch to return the check & pray it doesn't take an hour again since I am elderly & have no patience .. If Suncoast is that concerned about getting robbed or whatever their issues are then they are in the wrong business since robberies are a course of doing business for ANY financial institution.. read more

A bit hard to find, tucked into the middle of a strip center mall. You enter & see bank staff, but no teller station! On your right there are several private kiosk type cubby, where you do virtual banking. At first it is super strange & uncomfortable, I believe I felt that way because it was new to me. I also had some major cash I was depositing & didn't initially feel comfortable putting it into a machine. There was a bank representative on the screen once I started the transaction, I could see & hear them in real time, just as they could me. All went well & the transaction was complete. I left scratching my head & muttering something similar to what my mom would say about technology. Dang it, no I didn't just say that, I am too progressive! I am always complaining about banks , how slow they are, tellers don't know how to count & they are always MIA. After careful consideration, I have concluded this is a genius idea & cuts the slackers unfortunately out of jobs. I got timely & accurate service from a live person, no lines & quick painless process. Only down side you have to park & go in, no drive thru. I hate banks so much I hate going inside them, but with this feature I can be in & out in a flash & have no problems with the service. What's a girl to do? Ya gotta keep an open mind & change with the times, I personally think it is an ingenious move on the banking industry. read more
