    False advertisement "Welcome to a Better Banking Experience." I just had to file complaints with…read morethe OCC and CFPB. You can't make stupid up. My fiancé and I opened a household acct. since we are long established Chase credit card customers. We deposited a security deposit refund from our landlord. Because the landlord wrote the check from her Wells Fargo business account, we were told we cannot access the funds paid to Chase on 1/12/26. Chase first said the check bounced which it was paid. Then Chase claimed the public record of the business does not have a valid phone number to verify the business. But the landlord's bank validates her business and so does her LLC in Florida. Chase refused to call her or review our lease agreement reflecting the refund of the security deposit. Chase locked our account because the check caused our account to be restricted. Chase would not call Wells Fargo to verify ownership. Instead Chase is keeping almost $4k hostage. I visited the branch to no avail and closed my account. Chase refused to give me the $3k+ balance in the account, minus the $4k they are holding, until they issue a check through the mail. It's been a week and we have not received anything from Chase except an email two days ago telling me my account has a zero balance and to deposit funds immediately. In the meantime, Chase will not release the almost $4k check they owe us. Their solution, have the landlords bank recall the funds, which they cannot do! If you want a horrible banking experience-remember, I warned you and good luck with the misery Chase will cause. In the meantime, we are waiting for banking regulators to rectify this situation expeditiously which could take at least 15 business days for a response.
